Samsung Hw M550 3.1 Channel Soundbar System

I was a bit skeptical at first as I thought the slimness of this soundbar may not produce good enough sound, however I was pleasantly surprised when I fired up one of the Marvel movies and the sound was pretty good! The subwoofer also did not disappoint, the deep bass was just enough for our living room. I liked the handy remote, and the soundbar sits unobtrusively with our TV and pumps awesome theatrical Dolby Atmos. I would definitely recommend this Soundbar to anyone looking to upgrade their sound system, as it is easily installed and ready to wow you.

The wireless dolby atmos gives you the extra cinema effects that you need. The sound is crystal clear and loud. It connects easily and stays connected. Our household loves striving to create the best soundscapes and experiences we can, as we digest a LOT of media. We selected the Samsung HW-S800D (3.1.2 channel setup) knowing that this best carries theater-like sound throughout the large room this lives in. What really sold us was the form factor AND usage of Dolby Atmos, which is largely why the 3.1.2 channel setup sounds as good as it does. Setup was NOT as easy as expected (or as the instructions tried to convince us it was). The subwoofer did not automatically pair with the soundbar like the instructions alluded to, and I had to do the manual pairing process thrice to finally get them to pair. I believe the issue was that the soundbar was trying to download/install a software update after I got it set up on my wifi and in my Smart Things app. I say “I believe”, since there was no indication that this software update was being attempted until after each timeI rebooted the soundbar while following the instructions under troubleshooting the subwoofer. I do like that the Smart Things app integration (and wifi integration for that matter) was optional. It added additional steps to my setup since I understand and appreciate the integrations it provides my household, but I love that it was not mandatory for the folks who may not care. Overall, as frustrating as the setup was for a few moments, the sound quality is immaculate and worth the fuss ten times over.

This soundbar is making movie night a whole new experience. It comes with user friendly set up instructions that and a nice and easy to use remote control. Initially, I purchased it to replace my existing Samsung soundbar, and the Dolby Atmos support, combined with the compatibility with my existing subwoofer and rear speakers, significantly enhanced my movie-watching experience. However, the real magic happened when I paired it with my new Samsung G8 OLED monitor. The soundbar's compact size fits perfectly under the monitor, and the sound quality is simply outstanding for both movies and video games. The Dolby Atmos adds an incredible level of immersion, making game sounds feel incredibly realistic and engaging. Connectivity has been seamless with both my Samsung TV and monitor, which is a huge plus. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve never owned a sound bar before, at the same time, my wife and I have been bothered with our inability to clearly hear dialogue over sound tracks and sound effects on movies played through our television speakers. We considered many options including headphones, but none seemed to fit our needs like a soundbar. We chose the Samsung HW-S80D because the reviews on the sound quality were outstanding, the slim design complements our decor, and the value provided by this Samsung device just pushed us to make this purchase. We have been very pleased with our soundbar. With Samsung,s Voice Amplifier feature dialogue is clear and understandable, music is crisp, and the quality is superb. Surprisingly, this relatively small speaker system can easily fill the room with undistorted sound, thanks to the Spacefit Sound feature. I recommend the Samsung HW-S80D to my family and friends, and I highly recommend it to you.

i connected these to the samsung hw-801s soundbar and they really completed the sound. the rear speakers are clear and more than loud enough. once i figured out to adjust the surrounds volume through the soundbar remote they were great. i actually had put the volume too high and turned down the volume a little. i recommend if you get these to read some of samsung’s responses to other low rated reviews, it helped me figure out how to adjust them. hopefully the next version of these can be made smaller though.
