Got this to replace 4 hard drives in my 2008 MacPro when I got a new iMac. I added 4 Samsung 1TB 980 PCIe 3.0 x4 M.2 Internal SSD Drives to it. Two are configured as 0, and the other two are JBOD for data storage. So far, fast and reliable. 5 |

a month installed by now and so far, so good. I already had a Samsung SSD 850 (not PRO) on my iMac for a year installed by now and the change is huge, I have to say that I prefer to run a clean installation of the OS so a small part of the improvement in speed is coming from that though. The booting was taking around 90 seconds with the HDD and now it takes around 9 seconds on a MB Pro mid 2012. 5 |

This new Samsung SSD is fast but not optimized for Apple macOS Sonoma 14.1.1 on my iMac M3. The SSD on-screen controls that interface with my computer do not make sense or work. Basically you can just load data onto the SSD, eject it, and pull the USB4 cable to stop it. 5 |

It really works with mid2011 imac. I am using samsung 850 evo with it. Only problem was, stuffing extra cable, around the disk. That kind of tedious but you cant avoid it. People who buy this, also needs to buy a adaptadrive for installing everything togather. That product also works. 5 |
