Was going to wait for a 4060, but seeing how 4070 is going, glad I got the 12GB 3060, instead, for my Z590/11700K rig... All my games run ultra settings, great... Triple fan cooling performs awesomely... The aluminum fan shroud is a nice touch... Would say, all things considered, I'm happy with my purchase... 5 |

I connected a 12GB Raid 5 ThunderBay 4 to my iMac Retina 5K via the Thunderbolt 2, and it rocks. I'm getting on average about 535-550MB/sec read/write bandwidth via BlackMagic Disk Test. The SoftRaid software is very flexible. In fact, I bought another ThunderBay 4, and I configured both units in one Raid 5 configuration, and it was getting over 1GB/sec reads. I then set them back to two separate Raid 5 configurations very quickly. The hardware shipping packaging was some of the best I've seen. The unit isn't noisy, but it is audible. I bought the 33ft Thunderbolt optical cable and put the unit in a closet. I can't think of any negatives yet. I researched several alternative RAID 5 products, and this one seemed to be the best bang for the buck. I don't think you can go wrong with this product. OWC is a great company and offers good warranties. 5 |

This drive I super fast. I really like it, transfer's data quickly . I moved about 12gb within minutes. I have a MacPro and I could not format to APFS even though I am on MAC OS 12.3. That may be me. The other concern is how hot the drive got, I was expecting this because I read about it on other reviews, The unit cooled down but is something users could be aware of, I hope they find a solution. Overall I am happy with the drive. 5 |
