I bought this adapter to work with my new Samsung SSD for my Mac Pro early 2009, when it comes to Mac I really trust OWC products, and this one so far works great, I had bought another adapter for my SSD and it just wouldn't fit . I also like that this adapter uses the SSD's port directly to doc with the Mac pro's PCIe port. 5 |

Samsung has not disappointed on the EVO Plus line. I've standardized on the EVO Plus 900 line, and they are worth the few extra dollars for reliability. Speed is less of a factor these days as even the generic M.2 drive is faster than what our office needs them to be, but quality control is important when it takes so much time to deal with failing components. And we all know the cheap stuff does fail earlier, but sometimes that's ok. I just don't want to have a full office blowing up because I was cheap. 5 |

Dropped this in the Optical Bay of a 2009 MacBookPro (along with a new battery) to breath a little more life in to a slow old laptop. This was a dream for the old machine!! Dropped it in the Optical Bay since that was no longer needed. Left the original 500GB in and use it as a second/storage drive. System now runs off this SSD and compared to what it used to be, absolutely screams in speed compared to the old hard drive. Was as quick fast install and works like a charm, definitely gave this 2009 laptop another 2-3 years of life as a basic internet/email/documents machine. 5 |
