Samsung Laptop Black Friday 2015

Had to jump on their Black Friday special on this one and I’m glad I did! Although my 2015 Pro was “still good,” this 14 is light years ahead. I’m mainly an office worker paper push but I do some work on the side for my automotive lifestyle brand so I needed to upgrade to run some of the newer creative apps and tools. I’ve only used it for a day but the experience is amazing and I’m sure it’ll be for a long time. Screen is crystal clear and the speakers just blew me away! I also want to give B&H some props because their customer service and packaging/shipping is awesome, even for me out here all the way in Guam. Thank you!

My mid-2015 MBP died and it was time for a replacement. Overall I am very pleased with this new rendition of the MBP but I am particularly impressed with the stereo/audio sound that comes out of this thing. Instruments and voices are placed well to the right and left of the laptop itself, with high levels of definition and decent bass. That's not the reason I bought it but I am very amazed nonetheless. This space black version is reminiscent of my black polycarbonate Mac laptop of 15 years ago, but this one shows the several generations of improvements since..

I bought a Lenovo Black Friday laptop last year just to use for non development stuff. It worked okay, but it was always having device interrupts. I put in 32GB of RAM and replaced the hard drive with an SSD and now it runs great.

Connected with DisplayPort (had to buy a cable which was cheap.) sorry I didn’t buy sooner. Excellent for mammoth spreadsheets and people like me who open a dozen browser tabs (or more) everyday. My laptop had a 2TB Samsung EVO 970 plus system drive and I bought this WD black to put in a USB enclosure. But before I did, I ran Crystal Disk Mark on the Samsung, cloned the system to this drive and ran it again on this drive. My laptop is only PCI 3 so I wasn't expecting the stated performance, and no surprise it didn't make those numbers. But it did perform a little better than the Samsung and ran a bit cooler also. So I kept this WD black as the system drive and wiped the Samsung and put that one in the USB enclosure. Now it's a few weeks later and so far so good.

I got this during Black Friday...the best lens for your money. I would recommended to anyone in a tight budget.
