I used this cable to connect my laptop to the display port in a Samsung 21:9 Monitor. Working exactly as I expected. No issues.

Zeiss has released the firmware update for this lens. It was a great lens in my opinion already, sharing much of the qualities that make the Batis line so desireable for the A7 system. But now, with the firmware update that only took me about a minute to install, the aperture stays wide open at F2 until about 0.7 meters distance, where it will gradually darken to F2.8 at the closest focus. This is much better and has minimal unexpected impact on image quality. The lens used to gradually close from F2 at infinity down to F4 at closest focus, (yes, across the *whole* focus range,) so now that it stays at true F2 and just 2.8 at closes focus theres a NOTICEABLE gain in depth of field, and Im getting more true/accurate exposures at all other normal focus distances. Close focusing *will* be sharper at F4 or lower, but Im happier that Zeiss now gave us a choice over setting F4 ourselves manually or choosing greater DOF if we wanted it for our shot. If you werent getting this lens before because you were concerned about the aperture issue --- its been solved, get it now, its a great lens that serves as well as a 35mm or a 50mm but in a single light weight, superbly sharp package.

I'm liking it as a companion to the XF50/f2 - a portrait lens vs. the technically sharp 50/2. At f1.2, the center is soft and the edge is very soft; both progress until f4 where the center sharpness equals the XF @f2 but the edge is still a bit soft. At f5.6 both the center and edge equals the XF @f2. [Note that @f4, the XF is sharper still, and the TTArtisan doesn't catch up.] If you're thinking of buying a soft focus/diffusion/fog filter for your XF50/2, try this lens instead. Physically, both the lens mounting and the focusing ring are smooth and just right - not too loose or too tight -and the hard stop at infinity is accurate. I would have preferred the (half-stop) aperture click-stops to be more positive, but it's OK. Bottom line: at $98, TTArtisan sets a high bar for quality & value.

Works well, IQ is great. Makes my 200mm F2 a 400mm F4! Expensive

I took a chance on the EOS R based on Canon technology and it paid off. This lens is more like an f2 lens vs an f4. And it takes flawless photos. While everyone is arguing about video specs on Youtube, Canon has leapfrogged the others in RF lens technology. I will be buying the next RF lens in the 70-200 range.

This works great on my 50 2.8, 35 f2, and 90 f4 macro Elmar

Able to decode data off a very quarrelsome Intel Optane SSD for data recovery after laptop failed, when all my web searching indicated an external USB drive couldn't do it! High throughput.

After some trial and error, new mesh is working well. Suggest to setup on laptop using mywifinet.local instead of using app
