I was trying to shop around a hard drive replacement for my old Samsung 256 SSD (MZ7TD256HAFV which was starting to fail) in my macbook pro (15-inch mid 2010, 8gb memory, model identifier ver 6,2). My decision to get this SSD was based on high reviews/scores and a website comparing different SSD models. The reports indicate that this is a very good product (from a read-write speed as well as price & overall-vaue standpoint). I purchased the product and had no complaints. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this SSD Drive to replace a old 500GB WD Blue. What I like about the Samsung Drive is the Magician Software.It allows me to clone my old drive using a SATA to USB. Once I put the new Samsung drive in my laptop. The laptop loaded windows faster than my spinning hard drive and my program responce is smoother and quicker. 5 |

I used this to transfer data from my old laptop Hard drive to my new one for my Macbook Pro early 2011. The adapter made data transfer so easy and took the guessing game out and worry out. I had no data loss and you could not even tell once the transfer was complete that you even switched hard drives. It's just like there was a hard drive in there all this time. The only issue I had was since my laptop runs on usb 2.0 the transfer was slower but if I had a usb 3.0 connection I'm sure the speed would have been quicker. 5 |
