I purchased a gaming laptop that only had a 500GB SSD and I needed more space so I looked at what B&H had to offer. I knew Samsung made great storage devices and SSD's so I purchased this and it came with a download of Samsung Magician which which gives you the results of how your SSD is performing. I installed it no problem (do not format it) and the system recognized it and now I have a 1 1/2 TB in my system. Highly recommended. 5 |

I have bought a new laptop workstation with a 500GB HHD , To me this is the economical way because SSDs can be purchased at one third the cost of the upgraded from the computer manufacture. I trust the Samsung SSDs for this upgrade as I have used different models of Samsung SSDs in the past . I have never had an issue with their drive so I have purchased a 250gb mStata and a 250 gb Stata to upgrade my new computer. I also purchase an 850 Pro to upgrade my six year old Dell M4800. I do recommend Samsung SSDs as well as their RAM memory. 5 |

Replaced my 500GB Samsung 970 Pro with this 1TB Samsung 980 Pro. Using Samsung's Magician software, I was able to quickly and easily clone my C: drive (boot drive) without any issue whatsoever. I have been using Samsung M.2 drives for many years. Just an all around excellent product and installion process. I highly recommend. 5 |

I use this equipment on Samsung 500GB Evo 2.5 SSD's and have never had an issue with StarTech products. This adapter is very well made and has a little amber light that flashes when it is communicating. Great. I now own three and will buy more later. I leave them connected to the drives. 5 |

I have been using Samsung 500gb SSDs as system drives for my z840 workstation, but recently gave the PNY a chance and am very pleased. I like having spare drives like this around as I keep one for Windows and another for Linux. I also clone my drives before doing any complicated updates or installs (especially since I am very inexperienced with Linux). The 500gb size is perfect size to hold my OS, since all of my media is saved to a 4xTB NVME M.2 RAID. I highly recommend PNY 500gb SATA SSD 5 |
