Samsung Laptop No Audio Output Device Is Installed

Purchased for church live stream work in March (sending it switcher output with audio embedded from the switcher to combine at this device). It does get hot, and so to help keep hours down on the unit, I wait to connect it to the laptop until about 30 minutes before we go live each week. (For safest results to ensure the capture device is well-recognized by the computer, I shutdown the laptop if it was already on, then attach the capture device, and boot up again). How I use it: Church live streaming ... three cameras and a PC go into a Roland V1 HD video switcher (audio goes through a mixer and then is input to the closest camera -- which carries the mixed audio to the switcher via the camera's HDMI) ... switcher output is split to feed the live stream and in-room monitors...one split output goes to a field monitor with built-in waveform/vectorscope ... then loops through the monitor (HDMI out from the monitor) to the Magewell capture device...Magewell connected to laptop...Magewell is seen by OBS software (but not with Magewell name, just hunt for 'capture device'), which then sends to YouTube. This unit works flawlessly to provide clean, high quality audio out of my laptop. While many are using this device in a DJ situation, my application is to output the audio from Software Synths (specifically Native Instruments KOMPLETE). There is one tiny step that I had to figure out (need to change the output in the ASIO driver control). Once I figured that out, I was good to go and this device is doing exactly what I need it to do. Now I can take the laptop anywhere and utilize it to send the softsynth audio into a mixing console, and even in stereo. This is a perfect example of a product doing one job, and doing it VERY well. Highly recommended for anyone that needs to get clean, high quality audio out of their laptop.

I had been using a USB audio interface to feed my M-Audio monitor speakers from my Mac. I rarely used the jnput functionality (XLR inputs for mics, etc.). It then stopped working - would not stay connected. After trying everything I could think of (cables, usb ports on my computer, ...) I figured I needed a new device and looked for an output only device. I found this one. It's rock solid and delivers great sound. It does this one thing and does it well. Plus, I like that it draws power from the USB cable, so no extra power cable is required. I've not tried it with headphones, but for some, it may be a problem that there's no separate volume control for the headphone output.

Use this mainly for sharing audio on laptop or other mobile device while travelling.

We installed this near the sound desk as a big visible vu meter of the output of audio going to our livestream. It works quite well and doesn't seem to add any noise to the system (or if it does, its negligible enough to not matter once the audio is compressed to the livestream). Plus, its 5x cheaper than anything else like it!

This converter creates an audio output from my Samsung TV if, on the TV's sound menu under settings, I select PCM instead of Dolby.

This item is a good device for if you to splice audio signals that have to have a common output. i am using this for a customer of mine in a sports bar for hooking up a jukebox and internet radio to a common mixer channel. For something of this nature its good for that. I understand you can use these in multiples but for what Im using it for it does the job!!

The speeds are around 7000Mbps read and write if installed in a desktop or laptop that supports PCIe 4.0 x4. I first tested the drive in a external enclosure and then moved it over to my laptop and getting it installed and setup was no problem. No software comes in the box but you can get Samsung's Magician software from their website. That software is a must if you want to manage, monitor, or customize your drive. Make sure to keep your drive firmware updated too as those can often provide fixes for existing or newly discovered issues. This drive has been great so far and I'll continue to use it as my primary boot drive. Gaming load times have noticeably improved for me too!

I bought a new laptop that only had the one audio/mic output and I had an older headset that had two separate connections. One for the mic and one for the headset. This splitter saved me from buying a whole new headset by separating the mic and the speaker into two separate connections. The sound was good and the users on the other end did not have any issues with the sound quality of the mic. Unit is small and compact and easily transportable wherever I go. I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review.

Bought this display to accompany my ASUS laptop computer. Like the multiple connections and ease of operation so far. I eventually used the DVI port as this has solved a monitor dropout problem I was having when I engaged the usb audio out from laptop to a DAC. I also connected the laptop's audio output jack to the ProArt display so it too could have sound output if I choose. Now considering upgrading to an ASUS tower computer.
