Samsung Laptop Reset Startup Error

Kept getting the pink light error. Had to do some troubleshooting for a bit, updating firmware, reset factory settings etc etc. finally sifted through my spiderweb of internet cables and splitters and deleted all that and am now running the line in straight to orbi and no more pink light. Works perfect.

This has all the powers of a laptop, but faster startup, much smaller. So happy i got this.

Arrived quickly and was simple to install. Product was recognized by laptop upon startup.

This is a follow up on my original review from 12/3/2022 (I do not see a way to update an existing review). All my findings in the first review are still valid and the laptop has proven itself a reliable workhorse. However I discovered one intermittent issue with the battery life. In most cases the 80% charged battery wold last at least 4-6 hours when watching videos or browsing web on the lowest brightness. Occasionally however it would drop to 2 hours or less (the back of the laptop would also become noticeably warm). I turned on battery saver, made sure to disable any programs and services, except the video player or the browser tab I was using, and the CPU utilization was around 1%. Yet the battery life was unusually short and I could find any reason for that. A reboot (sometimes more than once) would help in most cases but this did not seem right. After some research I found that Windows Fast Startup, enabled by default, may be causing this (no hard evidence though). Anyway, after disabling Fast Startup my battery life on the lowest settings improved to consistent 7-8 hours (again with the initial charge of 80%). If you are unhappy with your battery life search for How to Turn On or Off Fast Startup in the Control Panel. It is simple and I did not notice any adverse effects.

I have not had to reset like I did with the other one

I mainly uses this for cloning my existing computer SSDs. I had a nasty reset problem on my favorite laptop and now will purchase more of these to use as backup devices for my other computers, especially my desktop. Well built and reliable.

Ordered this to help transfer and reset many of my laptop drives. A simple hook-up and connected to a USB port had this drive easily recognized on my Mac.

I kept having to reset the laptop wireless network adapter, after running updates etc nothing worked but this TP-link was an affordable and easy solution.

Works well on our organization's laptop. At the cables other end, has a Logitech HD webcam connected to it. laptop does not give an error message when using it. HD webcam is USB 2.0. USB hub is 3.0 on the laptop. No error messages when used.
