just a great adapter, now the old thunderbolt 2 works perfect in my laptop with USB3.1

Works as it should. Have two running from a thunderbolt 4 laptop to dual 4k monitors.

All the thunderbolt ports and fast USB type A ports you'll need. Perfect for my laptop.

Beware, you will get a limited throughput on USB-C 3.1 bus with Apple Silicon (M1) limited to only to 5 Gb/s. So, my Samsung SSD can't achieve full speed benchmark. I've tested on last generation Intel Macbook Pro and it shows 10 Gb/s as expected. Workaround for M1 Macs: connect enclosure to Thunderbolt hub that connected to your Mac thunderbolt port. Besides this everything else works as expected so far. Speed test attached: Raid 1 using 2x Samsung 2TB 870 EVO, connected to M1 Ultra Mac Studio (speed is limited to 5Gb/s), APFS not encrypted. Meanwhile, I was getting ~530 MB/s read/write via Thunderbolt 4 hub with the same configuration

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] An ultra wide monitor with thunderbolt ports from Samsung?? What more can you ask for! I was surprised with how huge the box was when this flagship monitor came in. I felt like I ordered a new television. The ultrawide 34" screen makes you feel immersed as you watch movies or play games 21:9. I also love the sound quality this monitor makes. It almost felt like a surround sound system and I was amazed as how great the stock speakers were. Some specs of the CJ791 is that it has a refresh rate of 100hz, 4ms response time, 3440x1440 screen resolution, and a contrast ratio of 3000:1. Although it isn't an IPS monitor, the QLED technology covers more than 125% of the sRGB color space making it a great monitor for video editing as well. It's a productivity monster when I used Adobe Premeire for video editing. I could fit the whole time onscreen and then some! The CJ791 also comes with AMD free sync and a game mode optimizing responsiveness and screen lag. The thunderbolt connections take the win for this monitor giving it the crown for one of the first monitors from Samsung with this connectivity. It can transmit video and data at speeds of up to 40Gbps — 8 times faster than USB 3.0 — and simultaneously charges devices (up to 85W), all over a single cable. Yes, it's expensive....but it worth. I have five laptop bags for my pc laptops from XP to Win 7. This bag is for my Mac Pro ( Cost me 37xx, not includes the Adobe C6 Production ). After one week, I really love the design of this bag. It carries two thunderbolt 1GB hard drives, one 120 SSD thunderbolt and lots of the gears. Only one I feel not so comfort with is, the color of the leather part. Porta Brace use the YELLOW color. The experience of mine to use the prota brace is, after many years using , the yellow color leather will be covered by a dirt BLACKskin on it. It will be really UGLYI don't know how to avoid it...No!!..I can't wash my hand every time before I taking it with me.Have a WHITE glove ? It's weird. Yellow color leather is good for advertisement but not practical at all.

I currently use this switch to share a monitor's USB hub between my work laptop's thunderbolt dock and my desktop PC. It carries my keyboard, mouse, audio, and webcam data without a hitch! Love the price and glad it includes both USB type B cables.

Bought one back in December to use my old Apple Thunderbolt monitor with my Dell laptop. Once I went through the process of updating *ALL* the drivers and the motherboard BIOS, it worked perfectly. And then, tragedy struck. My laptop decided to give up the ghost and I opted to get a lighter HP, so I returned my Dell docking station to work and waited for the wheels of corporate bureaucracy to churn until I got a new one for my HP. It took 7 months, but I got it this past weekend. AND IT STILL WORKED! I fired it up connected to the TB Monitor and it came right up, even before updating everything (which I did). Come Monday morning (today), I have a MASSIVE 27" monitor to work off of.
