Samsung Magician Secure Erase Frozen State Laptop

This is an excellent production slate for those that aren't using state-of-the-art time code equipment in production and post. It produces a solid clap for manual video/audio sync and the color and luminosity reference marks are valuable in post. BUT BUT BUT Even though Birns & Sawyer say it's dry-erase compatible, it's not. I used bog standard Expo dry erase markets on it and needed to make a correction 10 seconds later. It would not come off with either water or alcohol-based solvents. Elbow grease doesn't work. Dry erase chemically bonds with acrylic surface. If this happens to you, don't panic. It *can* be removed with a micro-abrasive sponge like Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Use something like this before using your fingernail or scratching it. Otherwise this is a wonderful little slate which is highly functional and impresses the clients :-).

I'm a film maker and a magician. When I needed a case for my 16mm camera, I got a Pelican from B&H. When I needed a small case for some delicate props that would otherwise be difficult to transport, I got a Pelican from B&H. This case is the latter. Small and secure, I don't worry about abusing it or its contents. Not only is it a secure way to transport my props, but it's also part of the presentation of the piece. Nothing makes people's imaginations go like a box that looks like it should contain a handgun. I wouldn't recommend getting extra foam inserts though, as they cost nearly as much as a new case. Get more than one case if you have more than one item to put in it.

Replaced a bunch of my old 1 TB hard drives with this SSD. Samsung Magician shows it at around 550 MB/s read and 500 MB/s write - about 5x faster than my old hard drives (also about 10x slower than my M.2 NVME). Great for storage and/or replacing old mechanical disks.

It’s a beast of an NVmE drive, super fast speeds and I like the Samsung magician software that really helps you keep good status of your card, so it’s a good system to get in.

Replaced my 500GB Samsung 970 Pro with this 1TB Samsung 980 Pro. Using Samsung's Magician software, I was able to quickly and easily clone my C: drive (boot drive) without any issue whatsoever. I have been using Samsung M.2 drives for many years. Just an all around excellent product and installion process. I highly recommend.

I always buy Samsung SSDs. But when you need a huge drive, this is the one for you. I love Samsung's Magician app to ensure my SSDs are healthy and up to date. Magician supports this monster drive.
