Samsung Monitor Color Settings

I have to say that color calibrating, my BenQ monitor was more complicated than I thought. The problem is that there are a number of settings that people have to enter before starting, and it is not that easy to enter the correct settings. This involved several calls to BenQ monitor support and watching YouTube videos. Having said this, I can report that the data color spider X2 elite made it as easy as possible, and did not add any other problems. The instructions were clear and I did not need to call them up. The process was logical and worked exactly as there user manual indicated. In the end I had to make only minor adjustments in the color. I would recommend this software.

This monitor is beautiful, and thankfully it has no dead pixels and the backlight glow isn't bad. The pixel quality is excellent, the color representation is excellent, the full ergonomics are great. This monitor has it all. I used other websites to recommend the settings, but overall I changed very little other than some basic color calibration. Playing games I see no ghosting, or stuttering, or any weird effects. This is the smoothest image I've seen yet. I was worried because a friend had a viewsonic and he had some significant overshooting. But this monitor is sooo smooth. Just make sure to set your Windows refresh rate to match the monitor's. Compared to my Asus laptop, the blacks are blacker, which is nice. IPS monitors are infamous for the blacks, but this monitor is surprisingly dark. Other websites have confirmed this as well, and I noticed the difference. It doesn't compete with VA panels, but I'm not a fan of them. I only have one complaint about this monitor: it's bright. I primarily am on the computer at night in a dark room. Without using dark mode on every app and website, pure white backgrounds are not fun on the eyes. In games, I don't have this problem, but writing in Google Docs requires a squint. So I downloaded a screen dimming app to solve the problem. Just wish the monitor had lower brightness settings.

This monitor is great for the price and produces great fps, the color looks great right out of the box but I went ahead and adjusted some settings to get better performance for games like Warzone and Halo. Would def recommend this to a friend.

This is a great monitor for viewing HDR, with 1000 nits brightness, wide color gamut, great native high contrast, and some help from local dimming. When the HDR is turned on from the windows OS, and in the monitor OSD menu, HDR video really shine (like watch movies in theaters in typical environment lighting). With discount on this monitor, it beats HDR monitors several times more expensive, and even OLED monitors for HDR. However, for displaying the SDR content, the color is overly saturated, especially in the red channel. It needs calibration for color accurate work. It is fine for general usage. The native contrast is great. A major flaw in the design of the monitor is the buttons to change OSD settings. They feel stiff and slow to change settings. Another downside is there's no proper manuals for the monitor even on the official product page. The OSD menu is lack of clarity, why some items are disabled in certain settings are not clear. I have to do my guess. Given the low price of the monitor and surprisingly good HDR performance, it is well worth the money even just for HDR usage. If the design flaws can be tolerated, this monitor is one of the best bang for the bucks with discount.

I had a minor issue though. HDR was greyed out in the settings of windows 11. When I turned it on inside the settings of the game the colors would look discolored. I give it 5 stars because it was the sharpest looking monitor and it’s great value for how much it costs.

The Samsung monitor far exceeded my expectations. It is so sharp and color accurate. You can designate how large type and menus to your satisfaction. I went from two monitors to one. One of my LG IPS monitors was damaged in moving. The Samsung is large enough for multiple menus and applications. This Samsung is a dream come true.

The Samsung S70D monitor is an excellent monitor for work and general usage (including some basic gaming). The monitor has good viewing angles (not ideal for professional image/color accuracy I imagine), good color accuracy out of the box, and sharp text. Having used it for a few weeks for reviewing spreadsheets, coding, and developing dashboards/charts, this monitor feels pretty ideal. I prefer VA panels given the extra contrast. Video quality is good, and playing World of Warcraft on the monitor has been an enjoyable experience with little/no noticeable ghosting. Panel uniformity also seems good. I’ve had no issues or annoyances with this monitor. Highly recommended!
