We use this battery adapter with a 14v system via D-Tap plug. The DC adapter drops the 14v down to 3v. We use the power from a Steadicam Flyer sled to power this power adapter which then powers wireless Sennheiser receiver. Very easy to use and one could add pretty much any type of power connection that ranged 14v-8v (I believe) down to 3v to this adapter. Be blessed, Frederick Marbelle 5 |

DC Coupler DR-E17 ... attaches to the DC cord of the AC Adapter CA-PS700 ... fitting inside the camera's battery compartment to provide a constant power supply. To counter the negative reviews, this DC coupler fits in the battery compartment, but only provides power to the camera if the CA-PS700 is connected. At first, I wondered how I would be able to power on the camera with the battery door open, much less attach a tripod bracket. However, I quickly discovered that the slide that is used to open the battery door folds up and allows the CA-PS700 to connect to the coupler through the door. This leaves plenty of clearance for Manfrotto and smaller Arca-Swiss plates, and makes it easy to connect/disconnect the power brick and mains cord if needed. 5 |

Surprisingly good quality and features for the low cost. Light falls off slightly at the outermost edge of the circular pattern, but not a problem for small product photography. DC output cord from the power supply is not long enough to allow the stand to fully extend, so need to hang the AC cord over the knob on the stand to keep from hanging the weight of the power supply from the DC input jack on the light. Out of the box, the nut on the DC input jack was loose, but easily tightened. Instructions include USA phone number for parts and service (nice touch). 5 |
