Lots of reviews suggest the 1/8 for a more 'filmic look but I found that I needed the 1/4 strength to get that effect. Note that focal length and the quality of the light itself will impact the outcome. A note regarding the GG1: This provides a very noticeable effect in most cases. Maybe a tad too much for everyday use. Tiffen needs a magical filter that works on the jpeg but leaves the raw alone ! 5 |

Note that the folded length and min. height are really just over 27 3/8, or 697mm according to my tape. This fortunately still fits in my Lowel TO83 case, but it's larger than the published specs. I got this instead of an omni-tota stand, because I was tired of tightening the teeny Lowel knobs. These knobs are much easier to tighten, but a bit slower. There is a longer range of tightening, which is probably a good thing. Seems to be a great little stand, looking forward to long use. Will update any issues. 5 |

The cable is of nice quality and a useful length. Random side note- it does not work with the “Rode NT USB mini”. It seems to work with all of the other usb microphones that Rode makes except for that model. That model is not MFI compatible. I wish that information was more easily found on Rodes website or on retailers websites. 5 |
