Samsung Screen Time Monitor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] An ultra wide monitor with thunderbolt ports from Samsung?? What more can you ask for! I was surprised with how huge the box was when this flagship monitor came in. I felt like I ordered a new television. The ultrawide 34" screen makes you feel immersed as you watch movies or play games 21:9. I also love the sound quality this monitor makes. It almost felt like a surround sound system and I was amazed as how great the stock speakers were. Some specs of the CJ791 is that it has a refresh rate of 100hz, 4ms response time, 3440x1440 screen resolution, and a contrast ratio of 3000:1. Although it isn't an IPS monitor, the QLED technology covers more than 125% of the sRGB color space making it a great monitor for video editing as well. It's a productivity monster when I used Adobe Premeire for video editing. I could fit the whole time onscreen and then some! The CJ791 also comes with AMD free sync and a game mode optimizing responsiveness and screen lag. The thunderbolt connections take the win for this monitor giving it the crown for one of the first monitors from Samsung with this connectivity. It can transmit video and data at speeds of up to 40Gbps — 8 times faster than USB 3.0 — and simultaneously charges devices (up to 85W), all over a single cable. I have used the ASUS ROG STRIX 32 4K HDR 160 Hz Gaming Monitor for over three months now and I still love it the way I did day one. This ASUS monitor replaced a low-end Samsung 27 monitor that I have had for a long time. Before the Samsung monitor, I had one of the first Gateway 1080P 27 monitors (which was a great gaming monitor in its day). I now wanted a new monitor to replace my Samsung due to my recent computer upgrade (which will easily go to 4K resolution with my new 4070TI Nvidia video card) during the Christmas holidays. I saw the ASUS (and I am a big ASUS fan) here on B&H, researched a little, and decided to pull the trigger on the purchase. I was not disappointed at all, even though the price was a little steeper than what I was looking to spend. This ASUS monitor is very fast, and the colors are vibrant and true. Its stand is one of the best that I have seen and owned. The on-screen menu is very informative with the availability of a few tweaks and features not found on other monitors in this class. If you are into digital creation, this should be one of the monitors for you to consider. Lastly, with an industry leading 2-year warranty from ASUS (register it at ASUS to be sure you are in the system), you can't go wrong if you are in the market looking for a higher quality 32 4K monitor. You can buy the latest PC build, but don't hesitate to upgrade what matters most, the screen on which you work/play. I would definitely buy another one of these ... if I only had room on my desk. Maybe a desk upgrade is in my future ...

I love to use this monitor for two PCs, either dividing the screen or using the entire screen for each. I even use the screen for Samsung Dex from my phone as well. On top of being a great multitasking monitor, I love that the monitor supports HDR10 and Freesync. At first when I got the monitor, the monitor made crackling sounds but now there are no sounds as Samsung said its normal for curved displays. Although this monitor may be huge, this monitor saves desk space and it is sleek. Since this monitor is VESA compatible, I went further by purchasing a monitor arm, made specifically for this monitor and frankly pairing these two is a game changer!

Thanks Samsung for making the best products ever! You knocked it out of the park with this monitor. 4K, curved screen, slim bezels, etc. etc. Keep up the great work in making your customers happy!

I am very happy about this monitor, It is very lightweight and super bright, good quality external screen. I am using it to attach my new Samsung S21 mobile. I am using Samsung Dex on this screen. Very easy to install and plug and play screen. Resolution is good to see HD movies or play HD game. Screen can be used both landscape and portrait mode. This is excellent monitor at this price.

The wide screen offers ease of viewing two screens at once while I'm working. I love the picture on it when I'm streaming my shows. Unfortunately my grandson was playing ninja turtle and hit my screen with his sword.

It provides a pristine, clear picture with amazing resolution and sound. There are so many options and apps to choose from to entertain my kids and brings our family together for quality time on movie night!! It is a product of superb quality, we have had no issues in the time we have owned our TV. We love the clear picture and the bright colors that make you feel as if you could reach right in and become a part of whatever is currently streaming on the television and it is optimized perfectly for my son to get the best gaming experience possible. We are definitely proud Samsung monitor owners. Everything about the set up was easy and stress free as is the day to day operation. Changing any setting to accommodate our personal preferences is quick and easy and our monitor has provided my family with entertainment and many fun memories ot time shared together with many laughs and lots of love!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been searching for a curved 32-inch gaming monitor for quite some time now, and until recently, most options were priced out of my range. In particular, the Samsung Odyssey G7 seemed like my ideal holy grail monitor, but at holy grail pricing. So when Samsung released a pared-down version of this in the G5 recently, I took notice. Setup was easy. My Nvidia drivers recognized the monitor's capabilities right out of the box, setting the correct resolution and refresh rate and automatically enabling Freesync. The on-screen controls are very easy to use, and it has some helpful features like crosshair overlays that I probably won't be taking advantage of...but they're nice to have. Finally, the elephant in the room: the curve. I personally like it quite a bit, but I come from a similarly sized, less aggressively curved monitor, so I adjusted quickly. If you're coming from a flat panel, you may have issues with it. After a while, I think most will come to appreciate the edges of the monitor being brought to the same distance from their eyes as the center in a monitor of this size. At the same time, I can understand it's a dealbreaker for some.

I really like this monitor it's a definite upgrade from my 32" samsung.
