I just received my fisheye lens from B&H not long ago, great experience by the way. This lens is perfect for anyone who wants the effects of a fisheye lens for nature/urban landscapes, photojournalism environmental shots (those without a clear face, as a fisheye will make a face look kinda odd on FF sensors). Right out of the box, this lens performed flawlessly. Color accuracy was spot on and the lens was light enough for me to hand-hold at 1/5th of of a second.Pros:-excellent fisheye effect on a full-frame sensor, and still retains some fisheye effect with 1.6 sensor crop camera bodies.-on 1.6x sensor crop bodies, this lens acts much like a ultra wide angle-maximum aperture of f2.8 is a nice touch that keeps this lens on my camera almost all the time-color is spot on, totally accurate-light-weight, easy to holdCons:-Doesn't focus very quickly, not like an ultra-wide prime in that aspect, but that's common in many fish eyes-no full-time manual focus (a feature of some of the other canon lenses), must switch to manual focus to manually focus.-I kind of expected it, I wish the lens hood would clamp on, rather it slips on like a glove. Expertise: Freelance photojournalist-3 years Problems Encountered: Cons:-Doesn't focus very quickly, not like an ultra-wide prime in that aspect, but that's common in many fish eyes-no full-time manual focus (a feature of some of the other canon lenses), must switch to manual focus to manually focus.-I kind of expected it, I wish the lens hood would clamp on, rather it slips on like a glove. The reason I gave it a 4 for features was that lack of full-time manual and its slower focusing, but that's just me being very picky. In all honesty, this lens meets expectations and is an excellent buy for any time of photography. Previous Equivalent Item Owned: None, first fisheye Items I Recommend: EOS 5D, EF 16-35mm f2.8L II 5 |

Just got the camera a few days ago and learning about all the features (basic manual is 75 pages and advanced manual that you download is over 400 pages). It is replacing an older point and shoot, and I am very impressed so far. IQ is very good with the 1 sensor as is the zoom although Panasonic had to compromise with a slower lens vs other compact 1 sensor cameras with faster lens but less zoom. This is the perfect combination for me as a travel camera. The knurled rear dial is a little sharp to the touch but I imagine that should smooth out with use. Another reviewer had commented they had wifi problems but I was to use it with my iPhone without issue other than a little lag time. 5 |

I'm using this lens mainly for astro photography. And for that, I know no better lens for the price and quality. If the photos turn out bad, it is most likely that I missed out on something. This is a full mechanical, lens, without any computerized aid. Aperture, manual, Focus, manual. But astro photography is a manual mode think, anyway. The APS-C (Crop sensor) cameras usually labeled as useless for astro photography, due to the small size of the sensor. I beg to differ. If the lens is fast enough, (lets in enough light), then it is doable. This 12mm lens goes all the way to 2.0 F stops, which is plenty of light, even for a crop sensor. If you are on a budget, but would like to get into astro photography, then this is your lens. 5 |

Nice, solid, compact camera. Almost wish it was a little more compact, but that probably would have meant a smaller sensor. The APS-C sensor is one of the things that attracted me in the first place, and the Z50 is smaller than my D7500 slr. The 16-50 lens retracts close to the camera body and so far has been yielding clear sharp images. Wish it had a little more speed and reach on the long end, but realize it’s a kit lens and trade offs have to be made for weight, price, etc. If you’ve been shooting Nikon the menu layout and functions will be very familiar and if you’re new to Nikon it will be very easy to learn and follow. I’ve had several Nikon digital cameras and have always thought their menus can’t be beat. One small disappointment was the owners manual. In the past my Nikons always came with thick, detailed, but easy to use operating manuals. The Z50 manual introduces features without explaining them well enough. You may want to download the real manual or do what I did and buy a independent book that explains this camera with the detail you need. Control layout on the Z50 is typical Nikon- not cluttered and everything where you need it. You can shoot this camera all day long just about using nothing but your right thumb and index finger. I feel this is a perfect camera to get started with the Nikon mirrorless system, and if I’m happy with results using it, may not see a need to go any farther into their mirrorless lineup. I’m kind of old school and still feel a little more comfortable with a dslr, so may wind up using the Z50 more as a backup or easier to pack travel camera. 5 |

this is a S35/APSC sensor 35mm lens so a ff equivalent of ~52.5 this lens is perfect if you get past that it is all manual :) 5 |

I really like Rokinon manual prime lens. This is one of three lens I use for night photos on a full size sensor. I have three others I use for my APSC camera. For the price, these are really good. Fast lens for quick shots of the Milky Way or others. 5 |

I bought this lens primarily for night photography. For my planned usage, the manual focus is a plus. Excellent wide-angle lens that I can use now on my cropped sensor DSLR and later on a full sensor DSLR. It works equally as well for daytime photography. I selected the chipped version and am glad I did. 5 |

The lens is crisp sharp. The colors are very good. On a cropped sensor, 6.5 = 9.75mm approx but on a full frame sensor you will get a circular pic at 6.5mm. So I think, a partially Go-Proish distortion just adds glitter to the gold that this lens delivers. If you don't like that you can always correct that in Photoshop. It is a fully manual lens. Set your camera in manual mode and you are good to go. Set focus to infinity and f/8-f/11. Everything will be in focus crisp and sharp. I didn't find worthy to spend about 6X price of Opteka on sigma for not-much-different outcome. ...& mind you Opteka=Rokinon=Samyang. Choose the one you like. 5 |
