This is my first smart tv, won’t hesitate on buying another smart tv. I will definitely recommend it to anyone.

When my the software of my last Samsung Smart Tv could no longer support Netflix, I decided it was time for another. I had a little trouble figuring out how to get the cable TV part of the TV to play when I turn the unit on but now that I have figured it out, I am very happy. There are numerous apps to link to various services which is great. The picture quality can be adjusted to taste as can the sound. The remote is small and efficient but I am also able to use my cable remote to turn the unit on and adjust volume and channels. Overall, I am very pleased.

The Roku Ultra is replacing the apps I've been using on my 4 YO, 65" Samsung Smart TV. Setup was swift and without any drama. I've since not had any issues such as delays or dropouts. The audio capabilities via Dolby Atmos sound better as well.

At first I was concerned because I realized that it was primarily built for Roku and a few other smart TV systems with no AndroidTV listed, but went ahead with the setup anyway and it works great! Followed the steps for setting up a Roku Hisense TV and it worked on first try. Able to control the smart features and the TV itself (power, volume). There are 2 buttons that didn't program - I guess they are designed specifically for Roku, but the nice thing is that this remote will allow you to learn from your old remote and map any button to do anything the previous remote did. Haven't tried that yet, but will probably remap the 2 buttons in the near future to do something useful. Great little remote all around and beats the big remote that came with the TV with about 100 buttons on it.

I bought four of these for four out of five tvs in our home. They work great. Actually got one of my soundbars to work where the remote from the actual same brand TV as the speaker. Three of the TVs are Vizios while the fourth is a Magnavox. All four TVs now only need the Roku remote. I ended up ordering a fifth Roku for the Vizio smart TV. The Roku works much better for accessing apps than the smart TV.

A friend had a Roku TV and I really liked the UI and ease of use along with the smart remote. I recently got a new TV and didn't like the UI and it wasn't as streamlined as Roku's so I picked up the Ultra and haven't looked back.

Will never buy another smart TV, only Roku with a non-smart TV.

I purchased a Roku Express a few months ago and the remote used on a Samsung TV is terrible. I think there is problem with the volume buttons. I went through all trouble shooting - no luck Roku's answer is "buy a new remote" which means pay to replace your non-working item (it was like this when I got it).
