Samsung Soundbar Background Noise Too Loud

Quality is great, hearing is great, even noise cancellation is great. The microphone does pick up some background noise, but only if the background noise is just as loud as you are. Works well in a bullpen.

We were never happy with our Samsung sound bar. Voices were drowned out by the background noise. This Sonos Beam is like day and night. Voices are clear and the sound from TV programs and movies are great. We don't have a large media room so this was a perfect addition.

I was able to mount Samsung soundbar easily. It meets my need.

Loud enough when you want it to be loud. Quiet enough so have background music for daily activitys. This machine can do no wrong in my eyes. Even went and bought a second one for outside.

I’m a drummer and I need something that will be audible clearly even with a loud instrument such as a drum set. Even though, this is enough already for monitoring purposes, which is not critical as far as noise (Hissing) goes, this device happens to have NO noise, no hissing whatsoever. If whatever source of audio you plug in, and there is hissing, humming etc, it’s your “whatever” that’s causing the issue. This unit not only has clean audio, but it’s LOUD. So loud that will satisfy anyone but will damage your ears if you’re not careful. If you want LOUD, the Polsen PMA-2B will deliver. To use it from a mixer: simply run a pair of XLR OUT cables from the mixer to the PMA-2B. Try to keep the levels from your mixer not to exceed 0db and no EQ for the best and cleanest sound. I also like the many ways to attach this unit. It has a belt clip, a solid 3/8 mount plus a shoe mount! To use you iPhone as the source since it doesn’t have XLRs: But this cable: Stereo Male XLR to Stereo Male 1/8” TRS. (Assuming you have the Apple lighting adapter) and you’re done! And again, it’s plenty loud. I only wish the PMA-2B had those dual purpose XLR female inputs that accepts either XLRs or Mono TS plugs (each channel) for even more versatility when XLR is not viable. Overall, price is right, ALL METAL, good electronics, no hissing and it’s LOUD. What else could you want? I’m pretty happy with mine. Also, check out the images I provided on my reviews. I was a bit skeptical at first as I thought the slimness of this soundbar may not produce good enough sound, however I was pleasantly surprised when I fired up one of the Marvel movies and the sound was pretty good! The subwoofer also did not disappoint, the deep bass was just enough for our living room. I liked the handy remote, and the soundbar sits unobtrusively with our TV and pumps awesome theatrical Dolby Atmos. I would definitely recommend this Soundbar to anyone looking to upgrade their sound system, as it is easily installed and ready to wow you.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was previously using a standalone soundbar without a subwoofer from a different brand which wasn’t too bad but having the Samsung QN-95B 75” TV and knowing what the built-in TV speakers were capable off I was also missing out on using them until I discovered Q-Symphony that allows the TV Speakers to be used in addition to the soundbar. The Samsung HW-S700D Soundbar was a perfect fit was my living space and served this purpose extremely well. The Soundbar and Subwoofer was super easy to setup. Although wireless capable, I chose to use the HDMI cable provided and it was an instant detection and pairing. My Samsung TV automatically recognized the Q-Symphony compatibility and adjusted the sound accordingly for maximum balance and range. The SpaceFit Sound Pro worked its magic to utilize the position and space and adjust automatically even while watching content in real time. No other setup required. I moved the subwoofer to various positions, and ultimately had it next to the sofa which enhanced the bass and feel. The Soundbar and Subwoofer provide great sound levels with well-balanced Treble, Mid, and Bass levels. The bass was a much-needed addition and gave the overall feel a more realistic vibe specially when watching movies and certainly listen to music. The bar is super slim yet performed extremely well for its form factor. It took up much less space than other soundbars and the overall design is super sleek to blend in with my room decor.
