[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Q800D Soundbar is mind blowing with how clear and satisfying it sounds. I have a few Samsung sound bars and I can't believe how Samsung keeps raising the bar (lol) every time. This soundbar shines with Dolby Atmos content, the immersion is surprisingly better than some home theater setups that are much more expensive. I wish there were more HDMI inputs on the soundbar and that it could support waking up when using a PC. But other than that, this soundbar has modern features that'll work in any smart home ecosystem.

pros i have paired my tv with samsung q800a soundbar and it works perfectly well. one thing to note here is that this tv does not support q-symphony you cant really get the tv+soundbar through earc however tv+soundbar works for me on wifi mode. having said that you would not be able to enjoy dolby atmos, dolby digital plus audio formats using wifi. cons the frame does not support dolby vision or dts:x which is a big drawback. even samsung q series soundbars support dolby vision passthrough and dts:x audio.

After opening the box, I was absolutely astonished with the thinness of the TV design. The OneConnect box is a fantastic innovation to move the internals out of the way and make the TV so much lighter and more manageable. The lightness of the TV made wall mounting an absolute breeze. One of the main additions to this year's model is the antiglare technology which does not disappoint or compromise the picture clarity or contrast of the TV. Usually OLEDs struggle in the spring or summer in rooms that get lots of light. It is a gamechanger to leave the blinds open and still be able to see your movie or TV show. The Q-symphony feature that lets the TV pair with a Samsung soundbar really takes the audio and dialogue to the next level. And it actually sounds prettty decent without a soundbar but if you're getting an OLED TV you should absolutely get a soundbar. The solar charging remote is a miracle. More gadgets need this technology and am happy to not have to have to buy batteries for this. The OS is fast and responsive with surprisingly light on ads. The Samsung FAST channels are a great option for casual viewing and the gaming support is impressive. I really do wish Samsung would support Dolby Vision in their TV lineup, especially since their soundbars already support Dolby Vision passthrough. But that's a minor quibble and something I hope they fix with a software update. If you are serious about your home theater experience, this is must-have. We have finally reached a point where OLEDs are as great in bright rooms as they are in dark rooms.

The soundbar is so thin compared to the Older Samsung soundbar I was replacing ,with out the back speakers I was worried that it would be missing a ton of power and sound compared to my old soundbar "wow was I wrong". Once the new soundbar was mounted under my Samsung Frame TV I was amazed on how thin it was on the wall. The soundbar connected to the Samsung smartThings app very easy and just needed a quick update. It also sets itself up with the adaptive sound feature and adapts to your room. Once it was updated, I was connected to the tv I turned on StarWars Asoka and my god the sound from the little soundbar just blew me away, with the dolby atoms. With the Q-Symphony option it uses the speakers on my tv at the same time "I think this is only works with Select Samsung tv's" this help fill the room with even more surround sound. The soundbar came with a micro Hdmi to standard Hdmi cable to attach to your tv so nothing extra to buy " this is a great extra" you can also connect the sound bar via bluetooth or your home wireless. Once it was connected to my Wireless network and SmartThings it seamlessly connected to most of the tech in my home and can easily stream music right to it. It also has Alexa built in just had to connect via the Smarthings app it also works with Google home/Apple airplay and chromecast. When I connected to my X box I used the game mode and the sound it creates in the room is a game changer. In my short time with this soundbar I truly have been amazed by it the most difficult part was mounting the bar on the wall and that only to 25 minutes and I just wanted to make sure it was dead center and even on the wall. But just how easy it was to connect to the tv and my other devices and the crazy amount of base and sound that come out of such a small package still is just amazing.

The rear speakers make my bedroom feel like a movie theater, giving me clear and immersive sound from every direction. The Space Fit Sound feature is great because it adjusts the audio to fit my room perfectly, making everything sound just right. However, the soundbar could be easier to use. Its settings are a bit complicated to navigate using the remote and I would recommend using the Samsung SmartThings app to adjust them. The only setting you can’t adjust from the app appears to be the rear speaker level. Overall, the soundbar makes movies and music sound fantastic at home, especially those that have Dolby Atmos.
