Samsung Soundbar Sound Mode Game Smart

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my review of the Samsung Soundbar HW-QS730D It has a nice bass sound that isn't overwhelming. The subwoofer helps give it some of the deeper bass sounds that normally get lost. The sound from soundbar fills my average sized living room perfectly. Most of the controls can be done via the remote but having the smartthings app gives you more control for adjustments. The night mode is pretty good. I found that using the hdmi arc was best for sound quality for myself and my tv. Plus by using it that way when I turn my tv on or off the soundbar will automatically do the same. I have tried the wireless connect with my tv. Unfortunately my tv is too old for that and doesn't work with it. I can connect my Amazon Alexa and Chromecast to the sound bar. I can have the volume increase or decrease for the soundbar by using either of those two. I have not used the the game mode because I don't have a game system to use with it as of right now. I have not noticed any tinny sounds from the soundbar at all. I am very pleased with the quality of sound that this soundbar gives. I'm not an audiophile so this is my honest review on this soundbar.

The first thought that came to my mind when I received and opened the soundbar was Wow this is one beautiful soundbar, it's so elegant and sleek looking that it looks good in any space without effort. Unpacking and setting up the sound bar was effortless and it had a nice premium feel to it without being too heavy. It comes with 2 power cords for both the soundbar as well as the subwoofer, a high speed HDMI cable, and the One remote by Samsung which is pretty sleek, but unfortunately does not have the solar panel recharging ability, which to me is not a big deal. Setting up the soundbar just requires plugging it in and turning it on. Once you turn it on is when you know how awesome this soundbar sounds and is immediately clear that it packs a powerful punch in a not so big size. The great thing about it is that it has many sound modes including Q-symphony, Dolby Atmos, Game Mode Pro, Active Voice Amplifier and many more. The Q-Symphony mode is truly magical because it fills the room with sound that you wouldn't think is possible from a soundbar in this size. Everyone that enjoys watching movies nowadays knows about Dolby Atmos and its ability to deliver sound from the upfiring speakers to truly immerse you into a movie. Game mode pro is also a sound mode I enjoy a lot since I game occasionally and helps me get immersed in my games with its crazy 3D sound capabilities. It's hard to talk about every awesome feature this soundbar has since there are so many, but for anyone that purchases this for their home entertainment setup, they will be blown away by this soundbar and I recommend it to everyone.

I love my smart TV, but the sound quality on its own is not at all smart. I found myself constantly turning the volume up and down in a battle to find the right level because speaking was too quiet but music and sound effects were way too loud. The Samsung Soundbar has solved that issue immediately with no need for adjustment on my end; the sound as I watch movies, TV, or play video games is well balanced. I also have satellite radio on my TV, and it sounds awesome on the soundbar. Setup was super easy too- I just used the included HDMI cord to plug in to the HDMI/ARC port on my TV, plug in the power cord, and select the source and it was ready to go with no troubleshooting needed. I just love when something works like it's supposed to the first time, and is intuitive. I'm a happy camper!

As a PC gamer accustomed to using headphones, I wanted to try immersive audio on my console with my wife. The soundbar's crystal-clear audio and surround sound feature have exceeded my expectations, making me feel like I'm right in the game. It allows me to pinpoint the location of the sound in game. The sound quality remains crisp and distortion-free, even at maximum volume - although I had to be mindful of my apartment' vibrating and disturbing neighbors due to the subwoofer's powerful bass! With this price point, this soundbar system fits my budget perfectly. I found the Bluetooth connection method to be the most seamless way to set it up with my TV, while other methods were slightly more complicated. The sound quality is so much better than the smart TV sound. I wish we had purchased the soundbar earlier. We are now re-watching some of our favorite movies to enjoy the enhanced audio. We are new to Roku so we have not used all the features yet, such as listening to audiobooks or radio, but will try soon, as I find Roku easy to use. Our 2nd TV does not have the ports necessary to get the most from a Soundbar Pro. We are now considering replacing that TV so we can use a Soundbar in that room also.

We needed a new soundbar for our gaming area, and the Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar more than fits our needs. The first reason I love it is due to the beautiful, non-obtrusive design. It fits nicely at the base of our television, its glossy piano-black finish adding a touch of class. It is low and sleek, so doesn't get in the way of the screen at all. I think it took us only two to three minutes to set up. Power cord, HDMI-eARC, and we were up and running. The sound it produces is just beautiful. We've listened to music, watched live college football games, streamed our favorite tv shows and the newest blockbuster movies. The Smart Ultra Soundbar performs flawlessly in each of these tasks, filling our medium-sized room with clear, crisp sound that envelops us. The BOSE connect app is intuitive to use (just like the dedicated remote). We particularly are enjoying the AI-based dialogue enhancement feature. So many shows and movies have seemed harder to hear the dialogue in for the past few years, and this feature all-but-eliminates the problem. I will definitely recommend this soundbar to any friends and family looking for one. Extremely happy with the product.

I was a bit skeptical at first as I thought the slimness of this soundbar may not produce good enough sound, however I was pleasantly surprised when I fired up one of the Marvel movies and the sound was pretty good! The subwoofer also did not disappoint, the deep bass was just enough for our living room. I liked the handy remote, and the soundbar sits unobtrusively with our TV and pumps awesome theatrical Dolby Atmos. I would definitely recommend this Soundbar to anyone looking to upgrade their sound system, as it is easily installed and ready to wow you.

Or switching to extended desktop using the remote is I need to. Very clean design, has speakers and 2 hdmi plus usb-c to plug in my laptop or tablet (dex) if I want to run two devices.
