Samsung Soundbar To Tv Hdmi No Sound

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so thrilled that I finally took steps to upgrade my home theatre sound with the Samsung Soundbar S50B. I love my smart TV, but the sound quality on its own is not at all smart. I found myself constantly turning the volume up and down in a battle to find the right level because speaking was too quiet but music and sound effects were way too loud. The Samsung Soundbar has solved that issue immediately with no need for adjustment on my end; the sound as I watch movies, TV, or play video games is well balanced. I also have satellite radio on my TV, and it sounds awesome on the soundbar. Setup was super easy too- I just used the included HDMI cord to plug in to the HDMI/ARC port on my TV, plug in the power cord, and select the source and it was ready to go with no troubleshooting needed. I just love when something works like it's supposed to the first time, and is intuitive. I'm a happy camper!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought Dec 2022 to go with a new samsung TV. The pair use what's called q symphony which allows all the speakers to be used from both the tv and sound bar to work as one unit. Overall the sound is great not much adjusting needed. Only downside is the soundbar doesn't use eARC just ARC through one port, so everything needs to be connected to the TV then the TV to the soundbar, no optical connection either. It's very long for a soundbar which should fit under a 55" or larger, but the depth is extremely slim compared to the Q800 model that I saw in a retail store. Overall love the soundbar thinking on picking up the matching rear atmos wireless speakers soon to finish it off. If you need alot of connections directly to your soundbar or need a digital display on it, this soundbar is not for you. For everyone else, especially samsung tv owners who can use Q Symphany, want to have a very flush mounting soundbar, the HW-S800B is an excellent purchase, with the option to expand to a full 5.1(2).4 system.

Picture and sound quality are excellent. Upscaling causes some image blur during fast motion, but is not objectionable. 4K BD have shown no issues with HDCP [tried only 2 discs] so far. No issues communicating video and special audio formats to capable soundbar and from soundbar HDMI out to TV ARC HDMI in. The remote turns on the TV to the proper signal input and the TV in turn switches on the soundbar, just as it should. I'm always amazed when devices actually work the way the manufacturer claims they do! Excellent product! This device does not have WiFi, but I prefer Ethernet anyways.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This soundbar is perfect for what I wanted. First of, it's not too big, but big enough to give you good sound. Out of the box it was easy to install. Just plug in the power and one hdmi cable to the TVs hdmi ARC and the TV saw that it was connected. It asked of I want to change the audio to the soundbar and that was it. It fills the room with sound so much better than just the TV speakers alone. I had a hard time hearing the spoken audio and this really helps. I think it's a perfect size that it doesn't take up too much room under the TV. I really liked using it as my Bluetooth speaker. Even without a big bass module, it sounds very loud and clear. I really recommend this soundbar if you don't want it to take up too much space and enhances the sound quality of what you are watching.

this is a major upgrade over my old soundbar. while you will not get the full home theater atmos experience, movies sound impressive. the voice boost feature is great for programs with poor sound mixes, it really works well! The only downside was connecting with my TV which has no HDMI out labeled and you have to go to the manual to find which port is the ARC. Not Polk's fault, just know there is just one HDMI input on the bar, you need a HDMI/ARC port on your TV

Although the TV itself comes with good speakers, I wanted to enhance the 4K experience with a solid Dolby Atmos capable system. I initially invested in a cheap soundbar from another brand and quickly realized my mistake. Within a week, I was searching for a new sound system and wanted to avoid repeating my previous error. The best option was undoubtedly the Samsung Q990D, but my budget didn't allow for it. The next best I could afford was the Samsung Q800D, and it didn't fail to impress me at all. The soundbar itself sounded so rich and full compared to my old system. The bass vibrated my floor, and everything sounded incredibly crisp and clear. Q-Symphony is one of the best features available when you have a Samsung sound system paired with a Samsung TV. I was already in love with my setup, but when I realized the soundbar could be paired with rear speakers, I quickly purchased the Samsung SWA-9500s. I was blown away by the overall experience, so much so that I rewatched all my movies just to experience the sheer excellence of my complete sound system. The Samsung Q800D soundbar paired with the SWA-9500s rear speakers has elevated my home theater experience to a whole new level. The combination of Dolby Atmos, Q-Symphony, and powerful sound has turned my living room into a cinematic masterpiece. If you're looking to invest in a high-quality sound system, I highly recommend this setup. It's a perfect blend of performance and value.

It was easy set up i bought it to go with my new samsung tv and my new tcl alto 9+ soundbar it connected straight into soundbar produces great sound altmos produce great upscale picture and sound for Blu-ray dvd it was amazing ! Even standard dvd look good

The soundbar is so thin compared to the Older Samsung soundbar I was replacing ,with out the back speakers I was worried that it would be missing a ton of power and sound compared to my old soundbar "wow was I wrong". Once the new soundbar was mounted under my Samsung Frame TV I was amazed on how thin it was on the wall. The soundbar connected to the Samsung smartThings app very easy and just needed a quick update. It also sets itself up with the adaptive sound feature and adapts to your room. Once it was updated, I was connected to the tv I turned on StarWars Asoka and my god the sound from the little soundbar just blew me away, with the dolby atoms. With the Q-Symphony option it uses the speakers on my tv at the same time "I think this is only works with Select Samsung tv's" this help fill the room with even more surround sound. The soundbar came with a micro Hdmi to standard Hdmi cable to attach to your tv so nothing extra to buy " this is a great extra" you can also connect the sound bar via bluetooth or your home wireless. Once it was connected to my Wireless network and SmartThings it seamlessly connected to most of the tech in my home and can easily stream music right to it. It also has Alexa built in just had to connect via the Smarthings app it also works with Google home/Apple airplay and chromecast. When I connected to my X box I used the game mode and the sound it creates in the room is a game changer. In my short time with this soundbar I truly have been amazed by it the most difficult part was mounting the bar on the wall and that only to 25 minutes and I just wanted to make sure it was dead center and even on the wall. But just how easy it was to connect to the tv and my other devices and the crazy amount of base and sound that come out of such a small package still is just amazing.

It is perfect in size and with minimal affect to room design. Set up was easy and it comes with a wall mount kit. Easily pairs with our Q-Symphony Samsung TV so it combines the TV speakers with the sound bar speakers! It includes a remote although our Samsung TV remote works on both! If you’ve got a Samsung phone, you can walk right up to the soundbar and tap it on the top to play music directly from your phone! Be sure to turn on the option in the smart things app! The sound is clear, and what we were hoping for as we watch movies, play video games and play music in our home. Ideal for our needs for something compact that still provides quality sound—and without muffling of the dialogue!
