I got a used/refurbished one to save an extra $100. ... This is a small LCD projector but still very bright for its size. HDMI inputs are pretty sweet. 5 |

I use about a dozen of these to send HDMI to various LCD/LED screens and a projector. I've never had any problems with them. 5 |

I bought this adapter to fix a small LCD projector to a microphone stand. Both the 1/4 screw and the ball and socket give a positive connection and lock firmly making a sturdy stand for this very small projector. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this projector to replace an excellent Epson HD LCD projector. I was attracted to the laser light source and liked that this LG model had two separate colors which I thought would reduce the likelihood of rainbow patterns and indeed I haven't noticed these at all so far. The 4K is crisp and the picture is bright. HDR mode is very noticeable and I like the range of picture options. I use an Apple 4K TV and Xbox Series X so wasn't too interested in the onboard WebOS but its generally pretty responsive and intuitive so probably useful to have. The projected image does have a small thin light border and in super-widescreen 2.35:1 mode there are of course lighter bars at top and bottom; I'm not sure why with all the adaptive dimming technology they couldn't make it go really dark in those areas too, but projecting onto a wall with custom sprayed paint using MissisipiMan's formula in the AVSforum works really well with this projector and still looks better than the movie theater and is a big improvement over the Epson because of the 4K and laser technology, and is now useable in a brighter room. My advice is save your money on the expensive screen and splurge on this projector if you are thinking about it. I do think this technology is a generation ahead of the last and what's nice is it's also LG quality (I knew they made the best LCD IPS panels for computer displays as we have 6 of them, but now find they make really good projectors too) and really nice design and aesthetics. Switching on and off is fast and reliable and ambient noise seems quieter than anything else we have in the media room. We run a 30ft HDMI cable originally intended for 18Gbps through the ceiling and I was glad it didn't have to be replaced and meets all the XBox and Apple diagnostic tests at 4K/60Hz and 1080p/120Hz and works well with ARC sound too, even with a 3 year old receiver. 5 |

I've been looking for an inexpensive stand for my laptop and/or and LCD projector. This one fits the bill perfectly. It's light but sturdy and, for the price, I don't see how it can be beat. I use a lot of Quiklok gear and I've found it to be good value. The stand works great with my laptop for music while playing and does double duty as a projector stand for photography. Thanks B&H and Quiklok. 5 |

Y cable is not the same product as a splitter. This will be one line out to two monitors which will show the same thing. One of these monitors could be an LCD projector. The Y cable enables you to look at your owm desk top screen while exactly the same image is being projected. This is most helpful for the classroom. 5 |

Very solid case. I use it to carry PLC-XP200 lcd projector in it. But definately useful for photo gear. The other one I have I use for Canon camcorders. Never worry that anything will be broken inside. 5 |

I tried an LCD projector before this one and even exchanged it for a second one. Even though the specs on the LCDs were the same as the HD66, I was very dissatisfied with the image, especially the darks. I even suspected both of those LCD projectors were defective. The LCD projector was in the same list price range as the HD66. I was comparing the LCD with a projector I was borrowing whose list priced for much more than my purchases and whose image was very good. The Optoma HD66 not only blew away the returned LCD projectors, but it was even better than the expensive borrowed projector. I use the projector almost exclusively for movies using my PC VGA as a source. The HD66 has a very wide dynamic range. The colors are rich but the image still retains details in the darks (the many dark scenes in Brave projected brightly enough). There seems to be no issue with motion smoothness. The controls are very easy to use. I haven't noticed any DLP rainbow effect. Even though some reviews said I would want to manually set it up, I was happiest with a couple of the presets, sRGB and Presentation (Film preset seemed too dark). My three minor complaints are that the throw is a tiny bit too long (my room is not very deep), there's not much of a zoom and the image focus is very slightly soft (noticeable only in the VLC or Quicktime controls). But I'm a very discriminating viewer, so most wouldn't notice this. I have not tried anything in 3D, so can't report on that. I have not tried the HDMi input, nor the on-board speaker. I've tried up to about 75 image so far. The image is so good that I have a new problem: I'm seeing artifacts and imperfections in the compression codecs of the videos I'm watching that were masked before by the performance limit of the other projectors I used. I hear that Optoma has been making projectors for a long time. Their expertise in this area is evident in the HD66. 5 |

We use the Pelican 1610 cases to transport our projector lenses, LCD monitors, and radio systems to and from shows. The cases are subjected to all kinds of abuse and have yet to fail us. These cases provide great protection for our gear and are worth every dollar! 5 |
