I always choose samsung ssd's for upgrades for the speed, quality & price even on lower end laptop upgrades.

I got it for my laptop which has 2 SSD slots, It's very fast and even my other SSD is a Samsung one, never faced any problems with SSD

I used SSD disk for 15.6 Pavilion 15-cs3073cl Multi-Touch Laptop .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This M.2 PCI-e NVME drive is one of the fastest drives on the market. NvMe SSD is a must have if your a Gamer, Programmer, anything really. Large data transfer, fast boot up. The drive comes with a utility to migrate or clone the original drive which is a nice touch. Samsung also supplies a tool to test the speed of drive and display the SMART information in addition to check and/or update the firmware of the drive. Aside from the fast read and write speeds, the Samsung 980 Pro also features an enhanced Intelligent TurboWrite 2.0 technology. Compared to the previous Intelligent TurboWrite, Intelligent TurboWrite 2.0 provides up to 5 times larger buffer. Behind the sticker on the back of the ssd you can see a copper heat spreader hidden beneath the sticker another nice touch. That’s quite a bit more than my current favourite NVMe SSD recommendation. Though this performance from Samsung is very exciting, im in love with this SSD. It's a slim leightweight laptop with smooth touch screen. I like it and would recommended it for graduate students.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've always have been a Samsung fan to having their 850 EVO ssd in my old desktop PC to having the Samsung Z Fold, to the galaxy watch and earbuds. I really needed more space on my laptop and this was a perfect upgrade. Installation was simple since this was my first M.2 NVMe ssd, and the use of Samsung Magician software you can use for cloning the drive is great. I could tell that the SSD that came with the laptop vs the 990 pro, once I booted up windows I could tell a difference. I usually have multiple browsers open or gaming on my laptop and with this new gen 4 drive really made things feel really quick. This Samsung 990 Pro was so amazing that I might actually buy the 2TB version for my second slot on my laptop!

I purchased a gaming laptop that only had a 500GB SSD and I needed more space so I looked at what B&H had to offer. I knew Samsung made great storage devices and SSD's so I purchased this and it came with a download of Samsung Magician which which gives you the results of how your SSD is performing. I installed it no problem (do not format it) and the system recognized it and now I have a 1 1/2 TB in my system. Highly recommended.

I am using it with a Samsung 980 PRO 2TB inside and so far no problems. I have not tested its speed yet. I bought it because I did not want, and don't want yet, to install the M.2 SSD inside my laptop - which has room for a 2nd SSD, since the laptop is brand new.

Glad I bought this SSD instead of a new laptop. Samsung cloning software worked beautifully. What a performance upgrade!
