I bought this BenQ PD3220U monitor to replace a Samsung that gave me nothing but trouble. The BenQ monitor has a nice stable base. It can be set up in landscape or portrait mode. With the disc that comes with it you have a number of options for color modes. It's really easy to dial up the different modes for comparison to find the one that suits your needs. The only drawbacks are minor. If you look at the display from an angle it looks grey. The very outer edges also seem to have a grey tint. 5 |

This is great for getting both white balance and focus (with the target in the center of the grey). The tag/loop on the top is great for hanging on a stand, in lieu of a subject. Great non-reflective surface too! 5 |

All you have to do is place it next to your subject and take a picture concentrating on the brightest top grey patch and fill as much of the picture with it and while a little out of focus take the picture. Set your white balance to this picture for your grey reference. You can also use it when shooting RAW as your grey scale reference. 5 |

The steel grey version makes your FX 3 look like something from the Terminator movie. I like the way it assembled and fit to the camera. I really like the hand strap. The top plate would be good if you did not plan to use your FX3 sound handle. I use that a lot and took off the top piece. The bottom plate mounted to my Manfrotto tripod perfectly but not to all of my tripods. 5 |
