Used as soundbar for our Samsung TV.

pros i have paired my tv with samsung q800a soundbar and it works perfectly well. one thing to note here is that this tv does not support q-symphony you cant really get the tv+soundbar through earc however tv+soundbar works for me on wifi mode. having said that you would not be able to enjoy dolby atmos, dolby digital plus audio formats using wifi. cons the frame does not support dolby vision or dts:x which is a big drawback. even samsung q series soundbars support dolby vision passthrough and dts:x audio.

I was a bit hesitant to add a sound bar to my space at first since I worried that it would look too clunky, but this soundbar is unbelievably slim and sleek, and looks wonderful! It's definitely the smallest soundbar I've owned. But even though the soundbar is slim, it still has amazing audio with booming sound. I also have never used Samsung's Q-Symphony before, but wow was it incredible - the soundbar connects to the TV speakers, playing sound from both to create a very immersive, surround sound experience. I kept switching between the TV speakers only and then Q-Symphony to compare, and it really is no contest - It really kicked the audio up to a whole other level. I also love how easily the soundbar connects to other devices. It has built in Chromecast that I use every single day to play music, and it connects so quickly and effortlessly. It can also connect via wifi and bluetooth, so there are plenty of options to get connected. And the best part - I have a Samsung Frame TV and used to be disappointed that I couldn't play music while having artwork displayed, but this soundbar has been the perfect solution. I can now cast my music to the soundbar and keep my artwork up - it definitely elevates the space!

The Samsung HW-S700D Soundbar was a perfect fit was my living space and served this purpose extremely well. The Soundbar and Subwoofer was super easy to setup. Although wireless capable, I chose to use the HDMI cable provided and it was an instant detection and pairing. My Samsung TV automatically recognized the Q-Symphony compatibility and adjusted the sound accordingly for maximum balance and range. The SpaceFit Sound Pro worked its magic to utilize the position and space and adjust automatically even while watching content in real time. No other setup required. I moved the subwoofer to various positions, and ultimately had it next to the sofa which enhanced the bass and feel. The Soundbar and Subwoofer provide great sound levels with well-balanced Treble, Mid, and Bass levels. The bass was a much-needed addition and gave the overall feel a more realistic vibe specially when watching movies and certainly listen to music. The bar is super slim yet performed extremely well for its form factor. It took up much less space than other soundbars and the overall design is super sleek to blend in with my room decor.

We previously used our TV speakers for a number of years, and the LG Soundbar S80TR took everything to a whole new level. Setting up and installing the LG Soundbar took less than thirty minutes to complete. You're able to utilize your Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connectivity to listen to Spotify or audio directly from your phone, tablet, or PC. You can also Cast content directly to the soundbar. The pair use what's called q symphony which allows all the speakers to be used from both the tv and sound bar to work as one unit. Overall the sound is great not much adjusting needed. Only downside is the soundbar doesn't use eARC just ARC through one port, so everything needs to be connected to the TV then the TV to the soundbar, no optical connection either. It's very long for a soundbar which should fit under a 55" or larger, but the depth is extremely slim compared to the Q800 model that I saw in a retail store. Overall love the soundbar thinking on picking up the matching rear atmos wireless speakers soon to finish it off. If you need alot of connections directly to your soundbar or need a digital display on it, this soundbar is not for you. For everyone else, especially samsung tv owners who can use Q Symphany, want to have a very flush mounting soundbar, the HW-S800B is an excellent purchase, with the option to expand to a full 5.1(2).4 system.
