Samsung Tv Bluetooth Headphones Latency

I like the zero latency with which I can listen to audio from the movie playing on my big screen TV over Bluetooth, and I certainly appreciate the longevity of the battery. I hang them up on the lamp on my bed stand overnight so they are easy to find in the morning

I received my SRS-NS7 from B&H about a week ago and was totally hooked on it within an hour of starting to use it. However I want to offer some strong advice to those who plan to use one of these while watching TV alongside other viewers. My wife and I normally sit about 12 ft from our TV monitor and typically sit close enough that we rub shoulders. We have a Sonos soundbar under the monitor, with surround sound speakers at each end of our loveseat. I wear hearing aids but Patty does not. The optical output of the TV goes to a splitter with one output going to the soundbar and the other going to the Bluetooth transmitter for the SRS-NS7. With the arrangement described above, we both heard sound from the soundbar and the NS7, and there was enough latency difference to irritate us both. I have a technical background and had anticipated such a latency effect, but had no knowledge of the actual delays with either device. I spoke with an audio expert at B&H, asking for advice about a variable delay device that has optical input(s) and output(s). He could not recommend such a device that is currently available from B&H but did suggest a Felston DD740 that B&H used to carry. I looked up the characteristics of the DD740 and agreed that it seemed to be exactly what I needed. I purchased one from LipFix.com, after talking with their Nick Johnson. It arrived yesterday. After connecting my new DD740 in series with the optical input to the Bluetooth transmitter of the SRS-NS7 and experimenting with the delay, I found that a delay of 55mS yields NO perceptible latency effects that interfere with either what Patty and I hear while watching TV. The bottom line: We both enjoy hearing REALLY EXCELLENT sound, including very clear dialogue, while watching TV together AND I get the benefit of superb sound while editing videos etc. with the SRS-NS7 connected to the Bluetooth of my computer systems. I use the headphones to listen to TV late at night via bluetooth. Between the Headphones & TV they connect automatically with easy volume controls.

The Samsung is a great TV, we love the picture. Easy setup! I wish it had bluetooth, my fault, I didn't read all specs before purchasing. Great TV though, highly recommend. Four stars.

Can only use it with my i phone. Can't connect to my audio technica bluetooth turntable. Can't hook it up to my new samsung tv

use it to add Samsung 65 TV to computer system to conference with clients (with bluetooth keyboard and mouse). Don't try to use a USB to power the receiver side - at least mine didn't work until I plugged in the AC adapter

Unfortunatly there is no chance to use only one (BlueTooth) Samsung Remote Control for TV and Sonos-System. Any Ideas / Recomendations???

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent picture, works well with my fire stick and my satellite TV provider. WiFi and Bluetooth are easy to configure. This TV has/does everything I wanted. Would have been nice if Samsung would have included the 4 machine screws to mount the TV to the wall mount bracket. Be sure to purchase the proper length machine screws. Buy the best, Buy Samsung! They last for ever. Was time for me to upgrade to a smart TV, my older Samsung TV still works perfect. I Bluetooth to my home stereo system, music videos are outstanding to watch with a good speaker system. I would recommend this TV to family and friends.

I am able to connect my iPad and samsung galaxy phone at the same time with no problems. The latency is very low.

My husband and I each have a set, we are older and have a hard time hearing the TV. Weve paired with Bluetooth to each of our TVs using a Bluetooth transmitter on the TV.  Many of the shows have music in the background making it much more difficult to understand what they are saying. With these, it is easier to actually hear what is being said. The charger cord is extremely short, but is not a problem for us because I just lay them on top of the computer tower and plug in.  My husband has a USB port in the console of the sectional. He plugs in and closes the console lid.  The cord is literally only 4 inches long.  True story. Dont be using the headphones and be waiting to hear someone knock on the door!  You wont hear them!  The noise canceling feature works quite well. For ambient sound, just cover the right side of the earphones, and you can hear sounds around you better...and it temporarily mutes the sound in the headphones. Being harder of hearing, we have to uncover an ear so we can hear. They are very comfortable.  I do miss the old-timey sound control wheels.  To change the volume, tap the middle of the right earphone and swipe up or down.  It works, but a wheel is more convenient.  New and improved isnt always better. I have no popping or static with these, which is huge to us!  We just retired two NEW pair because of this very problem (they were also Sony). They werent returnable...should have been a red flag at time of purchase.  Lesson learned. All in all, we both love our headphones!
