Samsung Wireless Audio Soundbar Optical Cable Trouble

One feature I love is the wireless connectivity, which made setup a breeze and eliminates the hassle cables. This not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of your entertainment area but also provides greater flexibility in placement. My Sonos Beam soundbar is first generation and doesn’t have WiFi and I did not want long Ethernet cabling to hook it up. That means I chose to not use internet connection to my beam. So, my solution was to get the adapter and use the TV optical out for my audio source. I also needed more than one optical source so I purchased a one in and three out powered optical splitter. For me this arrangement is perfect as I now can use my subwoofer optionally or just my soundbar, or my wireless headphones. The volume of the beam is adjusted with a remote which I purchased. I am satisfied with this adapter which converts optical audio into an HDMI output. Using an HDMI cable between the adapter and my Beam was the finishing touch. This item is recommended if you want to go the route I chose.

I wanted to get a soundbar for a TV that I inherited. Space was a consideration. This LG SK1 is just right at a good price. Note that it comes with cable for optical hookup so you don't need to buy one separate (I didn't see this in the description, so I now have an extra optical cable).

We just set up our new Polk Signa S4 soundbar hooked up to our Samsung TV. The wireless subwoofer is easy to use. The quality of the sound is great!

pros i have paired my tv with samsung q800a soundbar and it works perfectly well. one thing to note here is that this tv does not support q-symphony you cant really get the tv+soundbar through earc however tv+soundbar works for me on wifi mode. having said that you would not be able to enjoy dolby atmos, dolby digital plus audio formats using wifi. cons the frame does not support dolby vision or dts:x which is a big drawback. even samsung q series soundbars support dolby vision passthrough and dts:x audio.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a home audio lover and movie fan, I really enjoy the Samsung HW-910D soundbar, especially with its rear speaker kit and Space Fit Sound feature. The rear speakers make my bedroom feel like a movie theater, giving me clear and immersive sound from every direction. The Space Fit Sound feature is great because it adjusts the audio to fit my room perfectly, making everything sound just right. However, the soundbar could be easier to use. Its settings are a bit complicated to navigate using the remote and I would recommend using the Samsung SmartThings app to adjust them. The only setting you can’t adjust from the app appears to be the rear speaker level. Overall, the soundbar makes movies and music sound fantastic at home, especially those that have Dolby Atmos.
