I needed to connect an outdoor wireless security camera to Wifi but the signal on the main router wasn't strong enough to penetrate a thick masonry wall. The TP-link solved this problem. I set it up inside at the wall needing signal penetration but in line with the router. It worked perfectly - having a booster closer to the camera did the trick.

If you have a router, you can also run VLANs through it to, for example, tap off a dedicated PoE ethernet line for a security camera and turn it into a general purpose trunk line for regular devices like solar inverters or AP's, and then VLAN the camera port back to the dedicated port on the NVR for added security.

Love this security camera. I didn't want to have to hard wire power to a spot where I wanted to keep a eye on by my house and it was also out of a good Wi-Fi signal. The solar panel has kept it charged for the month that I've had it out so far. And the picture quality has been exceeding my expectations by far.

Initially I set up my security system of two cameras and the DVR on a single 12v 3A power adapter with a splitter cable. Everything worked but there were squigglies in the brightest areas of one camera feed. I added this power adapter to drive just that (4k) camera and the squigglies disappeared. The 4k image is now clean and astounding.

Without a Wireless remote for your Nikon DSLR you are just risking the quality and sharpness of your images. Using the timer is a good option, but the timer will not be a good option for all photo occasions.
