Sandisk Extreme Portable Ssd External Hard Drive

I got this as a backup for my SanDisk 2TB Extreme Portable SSD V2. I clone that drive using SuperDuper and that's it.

The Sandisk portable external hard drive fits perfectly into this storage/travel case. If you purchase any size Sandisk portable external hard drive, you need this case to go with it!

The SanDisk 1TB Extreme PRO Portable SSD V2 is the perfect size for my photographic backups during my travels both nationally and internationally. Within this past year, I had purchased two SanDisk 1TB Extreme Portable USB 3.1 Type-C External SSD drives and am totally satisfied with their performance. The SanDisk 1TB Extreme PRO Portable SSD V2 offers more rapid read speeds, up to 2000 MB/s, as opposed to 550 MB/s with my previous purchase. SanDisk (now owned by Western Digital) made an extraordinary move by creating this product. I would not hesitate purchasing more of the same (or similar) in the future, especially when B&H offers them at an exceptional price point.

SanDisk 4TB Extreme PRO Portable SSD V2 - I can repeat this line just over and over and over again in this review because it simply says it all! It is a beauty and a review in itself and does not need anything else to be added to it. It's crazy fast in speed, crazy small and compact in size, and crazy protected from pretty much everything (wind, water, earth, fire? :D). What else do you need from a portable SSD of the top notch quality?

The SanDisk 4TB Extreme PRO Portable SSD V2 has a great build quality, is super fast, and is very reliable. Of all the portable ssd drives on the market, this is one of the best in terms of overall value.

I replaced an old DROBO system with the SanDisk 4TB Extreme PRO Portable SSD V2 and can't believe how much faster it is. The size fits perfectly on my Cocoon Grid-It! organizer and my first backup took less than 50 minutes. The unit feels solid and the exterior seems like it will hold up well. The previous backup system took multiple hours! Highly recommend.

My other external drive is almost full, so I got this to replace it. The nice things about the SanDisk 4TB Extreme Pro Portable SSD V2 is that it is... portable! As small as an old flip phone, with a rubber back which overlaps the sides for protection and non-slip grip. I like it. And it initially transfered the data just fine. Just need to finish the job.

The SanDisk Extreme Pro SSD is a well made and excellent external drive for photo and video and graphic artist professionals. Just be aware that it's 2000MB/sec rating is currently well beyond the read and write capabilities of most computers including current Mac M1 and M2 devices. USB C ports on Mac devices, at least, are only one channel USB 3.2 and not USB 3.2 2x2 enabled. Your speed using this drive will be limited to 1000MB/sec. To future proof your external storage the Extreme Pro SSDs are a great choice and very solid with their aluminum frame. However if you will be sticking with M1 and current M2 devices for years to come you can save money by using the 1000MB/Sec rated SanDisk Extreme SSDs instead.

I purchased this case for my SanDisk Extreme 600 1TB SSD drive. It is not a snug fit but it certainly serves the purpose well.
