Decided to get back into basic 2 channel stereo as my wave radio just couldn’t get it done. Took the plunge, picked up this receiver and two of the Sony 3 way bookshelf speakers. Wow the power and clarity from the Bluetooth streaming is amazing. Needless to say a CD player and a phono ( which each exceeded the price of the speakers and this receiver) were quickly added on. If your looking to get back into vinyl or just enjoy CDs or streaming to the Bluetooth you can’t go wrong with this receiver. 5 |

This unit is exactly what I was looking for in a stereo receiver. The first thing I was looking for is quality. So far this thing works like a champ and feels well built by the weight of it. I do not need something that has all the whistles and bells. Although it has some extra features that I probably won't use it allowed me to connect to older audio equipment without any trouble. I wanted a basic unit to play music on through the radio and play cds. The design is simple to use and very intuitive. If there is one thing I would add to this unit would be having AM radio available. It's not a deal breaker for me but would be nice if it were there. The antenna could be a little more robust as well. 5 |

This is our 4th Sangean radio. It doesn't take up much space. I prefer to sleep in a very dark environment and the digital display can be dimmed to a comfortable level. The digits are large enough to be read without glasses and can have the day of the week in the display. No more panic moments thinking it is the wrong day of the week! There is no guessing whether the alarm is on or off because it displays an icon when enabled. One of the critical bits in our area is the battery backup this radio has. Buttons are lighted and in a good location with a satisfying click when pressed. It is true as others have mentioned that turning off loudness sounds a lot better. Setting the clock and alarm times does require some speed to finish. Our old clock radio had an enter button which alleviated the short timeout for some functions. Once you get the hang of it it is easy to do. Two of our other Sangean radios don't have a battery backup and we have had years of practice. We manually set clocks anyway because of possible electrical interference in our area. The atomic clocks will sometimes time travel. I tried the automatic setting on this clock but while moving around to different stations the clock made the time useless. If you still need to get up on time it is something to keep in mind. I am not on call anymore so I don't keep the cell on at night. Won't be using the higher tech functions but they are there for those that do need/want them. Funny thing about an alarm clock. Probably the most ignored tech that we own - except when we need to wake up to music - on time. 5 |

What a wonderful sound from such a practical, right-sized radio! We hadn't heard of Sangean before ordering one, but we really like it. Nice! 5 |

The Sangean H205 Shower Radio is the best of its kind. I just replaced mine after years of use (and it was a refurbished model!) It offers multiple station options, great sound, weather alerts, and is extremely durable. Comes with external; antenna and carrying strap. You just need to replace the D batteries once in a while. 5 |

I purchased a Tivoli Audio Model Three BT Clock Radio hoping for a great sounding radio, which it was. However there are issues with the Interface and design and it was not usable as an alarm clock for me. So I crossed my fingers and purchased the Sangean. Honestly, both radios are ported and hefty so the sound on both are very good, but the usability and features on the Sangean are excellent and I would prefer the Sangean over the Tivoli even if the Tivoli worked as expected. 5 |
