I got some of these a few years ago when the Eneloop was being sold under the Sanyo name. Now I can power my am/fm/shortwave radio with my existing rechargable aa's and charger. No need to buy rechargable D's and charger for them. However, they may not work well with devices that use D batteries and draw alot of current. 5 |

I've tried several NiMH chargers, including Maha, Sanyo, LaCrosse, etc. The Pearstone is simple, and works better than the rest IMHO. The first couple of charges, it took a long time to discharge and recharge batteries, but as they became 'conditioned', the time shortened significantly. The charger is simple, and the display is simple and easy to understand, if not very specific (it only 4 bars to indicate the status of charge). Nonetheless, it's the best 'smart' charger I've found, regardless of price. 5 |

It's five stars for me because I don't know any better. I've been using a Sanyo and a Sony 4bay charger for the last four years to do with this charger does by itself. And they're each on their own channel for viewing how far along they are. So for that jump up, it's awesome. 5 |
