Saramonic Wireless Microphone Review

I called into B&H photo to help me with selecting a wireless microphone system for shoot video with my Nikon D-850. I had absolutely no knowledge of wireless mic systems. I was a little leery fully basing my purchase on advice from a phone call. But the B&H rep was fantastic. He didn't just make a recommendations, he asked a number of question on how I planned to use such a system, etc. Afterwards he suggested two systems and I went with the Saramonic Blink 500 Pro B2 setup. I have now used it once for a interview video, and it worked like a champ! I've only used it that one time, and just purchased the Saramonic two weeks ago, but it is a thumbs up. 5 |

The microphone works well, if you record with a cell phone the Saramonic audio is better that of the internal microphone of your cell phone 5 |

Need a quick, portable run and gun microphone? I've been using this Saramonic IOS system with an Ipad for nearly a year now..it WORKS! No-fuss or muss takes longer for the iPad to boot up and connect to FB Live Stream than it does to get this system on your talent and begin. Streaming. Just purchased a second unit, the NEW pro version with a headphone jack on a separate receiver to monitor audio in real-time..AWESOME 5 |

The Saramonic adaptor was just what I needed to input a remote microphone/audio line input to an IPhone /Ipad 5 |

I had two of these already that came with my Saramonic UWmic-9 set. They work really well, so I bought this one to use with my Rode Wireless Go. It sounds great, and it's more in line with my budget than the higher end brands. 5 |

I had been shopping around for a wireless option to assist in creating content for my virtual photo classes. I was originally looking at the Rode GO which seemed pretty straight forward and easy to use, but then I came across the Saramonic Blink 500. The comparisons of the two options were pretty close, but I went with the Blink 500 because I got more bang for the buck! Having two mics with two lavaliers was a big selling point for me, as I now have the ability to mic my assistant or subject. I also did not have to purchase any additional cords to connect to my iPhone or laptop as everything I needed was right in the box. Using it with the iPhone is significantly bulkier than the Saramonic Lightning receiver option, but I like knowing I have the ability to expand upon this system in the future. I have used the Blink 500 directly on various Canon and Sony cameras, my iPhone, and my MacBook Pro all with clear audio results. This was a fantastic purchase for my needs. 5 |

I have the Saramonic UWMIC9 wireless dual lav mic system that came with 2 wired mics that costs $399 for the entire set. I only really use just one of the wired mics and the other stays in storage without usage. One day I tried out the other 2nd mic that I rarely used and noticed it produced terrible static sounds. The rarely used 2nd mic was positively defective and I have no idea why. Hence I purchased this Saramonic mic at B&H as a replacement so I can use the dual lav functionality if or when I want to. This Saramonic mic works just fine when I did a quick test using the other 2nd Saramonic wireless transmitter. This mic also works fine when I tested it with my Zoom H1n recorder whereas the defective one made a horrible static noise. I can't speak for the durability of this mic since I've only had it for a short time but so far so good. 5 |

I tested this Senal OLM-2S with Saramonic TX9, Tascam DR-10L and direct connect to DSLR. It works well. Some people complain about the cable is too long for wireless unit which normally clip on the waist belt. Yes its true. But when wireless units get some electrostatic noise, you can connect this mic to DSLR directly especially for an interview then Its good length. I have the audio Y cable for connecting two lav mics. Perfect! I like to buy it again. Highly recommended 5 |

Had been using a Saramonic lav with my DJI wireless mics. Sounded fine but thought I would try the DJI lav as well. I LIKE it! This Lav has a nice clear sound (little bass-ier than Saramonic), very small, well designed adjustable clip, and good TIGHT plug. Not gonna come out of mic by accident. 5 |
