I recently got a SanDisk 1TB SSD (Solid State Drive) and used a drive cloning device to clone my old 1TB Hard Disk Drive (HDD) to the new SSD. It works wonders in my 15 year old computer! It really speeds up drive-related activities, perhaps as much as 3 or 4 times faster. I think my old HP laptop computer is either a SATA or SATA II type, so I suspect those with a SATA III system would see even better speed results when going from a HDD to a SSD. Gotta love it! 5 |

If you are installing an internal Solid State Drive to your desktop computer, you'll need this SATA wire unless you are able to scavenge one off another attached device that you no longer use. It attaches to the back of the SSD (or other SATA device) and to the mother board. 5 |

I used this cable to clone the hard drive on my Acer netbook to a solid state replacement. Cable worked great. It is not something I will use very often, in truth it will probably sit in my cable drawer forever. That said, it was a reasonable price to pay. The USB 3.0 to 2.5" SATA III Hard Drive adapter cable w/UASP - SATA to USB 3.0 Converter for SSD / HDD works with my Windows laptop but it seemed like I needed a USB 3.0 port to provide enough power because when plugged into a USB 2.0 it would not light up. This is an extremely reliable and easy to use Solid State Drive. Once initialized it's easy to clone form a Hard Disk Drive to this unit. Take out the old drive, insert this drive, and put your seat belt on. 5 |
