Sata Floppy Disk Drive

This is a SATA drive with sequential read/write speed of 560/510 MB/s. It also has DRAM. I use it to replace the mechanical HD disk on my ThinPad P50s which is roughly five years old. Significant performance improvement. Mainstream consumer grade SSD, with Acronis True Image for Crucial for whole disk software cloning, which recognizes the SSD automatically (you will need a USB - SATA cable, and I would recommend a clean installation though), and Micron's Storage Executive to monitor the SSD performance and firmware update.

I am happy I purchased this SSD Drive. It replaces a 3TB Sata Drive. I use it for data storage in as much as I have thousands of photos on this drive. I have been pleased with the speed, read and write . Backup is much better compared to the SATA drive. The SATA drive could take almost 24 hrs for backup while the SSD drive may take 3-4 hrs. . I have not had over heating. I use a mid tower ATX case and the fans are enough to keep it cool. I am very satisfied.

Ok, I'm going to Date my self from the days of a floppy Disk to an HDD I thought that was the Wow. Until Now This SSD is quiet I have to look at my computer to see if it's on. Only time will tell how this will all play out But this is Perfect. Great product and installation was Easy.

Mind-blowingly fast. Makes my old 10k Raptor seem like a floppy disk in comparison. Boot times for Windows 7 reduced from 3-5 minutes to 20-30 seconds. Heavy-duty applications like Photoshop and 3DSMax open in the blink of an eye. With the jury still out on real-world performance increases of NVMe, I think SATA3 SSDs are still your best bang for the buck.

Top of the line Sata Drive.

This is the recommended disk for your NAS storage device as it is designed for constant use. This is compatible for use in a Synology NAS while not all SATA disks are on their capability list.

The cable works fine. However, since the SATA connector is keyed, it can be used only one way. This one requires that the cable goes toward the top of the disk. My system's existing cables go down, toward the bottom of the disk. So I have to feed it through a different area, that is fortunately open. It is too close to the cover to loop back. Hopefully this helps others. Consistently great experience on the site and with delivery!

I use this cable easily duplicated my laptop hard disk into a brand new one. With this cable I could also boot from a 3.5 SATA disk.

The SATA drive went into the enclosure smoothly and is working great.

M.2 is a big deal. It's as much faster than traditional SATA SSD as SATA SSD is to a spinning disk. Editing 4k video has never been smoother!
