Scan From Brother Printer To Chromebook

i been using brother printer and scan and i love it works great then others printers

I upgraded my old Brother MFC-9970CDW to the new MFC-L8900CDW this weekend. It was being shipped FedEx and was scheduled to be delivered on Monday, but I called FedEx and was able to pick it up on Saturday. I spend about an hour configuring all the options, installing additional paper trays (1 250-sheet and 1 500-sheet), and testing the printer. It's a big improvement over the MFC-9970CDW, which was a workhorse in our home office. The printer is much quieter than my old one and when compared to other brands. There is a quiet setting that makes it even quieter, but this occurs at the sacrifice of some speed. The fax machine is pretty standard for all faxes. I was able to fax without difficulty using the normal compatibility setting via a Cisco adapter that converts analog to IP for RingCentral. I am very impressed with the L8900CDW's ability to customize scan functions. Perhaps this was present on the 9970CDW and I didn't explore it. I have mine configured with icons to scan to my iMac's desktop, scan to my personal email, scan to my wife's email, or send to a fire department where I'm medical director. Also, the Amazon Dash Replinishment service isn't active. This printer isn't listed as a supported model. I emailed Brother USA and was advised it is too new to be listed and will be listed soon. Overall, this is a great printer. One of the best multi-function machines you could buy. I highly recommend it!

I purchased this printer to replace an old Brother laser jet. Since my old Epson scanner was no longer compatible with the current OS, I liked that this printer had the ability to scan as well. Setup was super-easy out of the box. I'm in a Mac environment, and I had no problem whatsoever getting it up and running. The printer is much faster than my old one - faster to warm up and to print. Quality is great, although the color is a bit dark and off. I'm sure I can adjust this, but haven't looked into it yet. The scanner works great, but be aware that you must sign up for an HP account in order to be able to scan. Overall, no regrets with this purchase. It serves its purpose and meets my needs.

This scanner is just magnificent, super easy to set up, took me less than 2 minutes to do. I connected mine to wifi and was able to print it without any issues, prints comes out in high quality and straight, settings are easy to navigate thanks to touchscreen and it has all of the options you need. Scan to server, scan to SMP, scan to email, and etc., You can control the settings through the scanner itself, through app or a brother software utility on your PC. It does come with all the cables that you need to get it to work without wifi but my suggestion would be if you buying this, use the wifi, you can scan it anywhere. Set up a printer, download the brother full package software, install it and bam you have a wonderful scanner. Highly recommend it for businesses and even just for everyday home use. Definitely worth a price

Some of the features that sets this scanner apart and very suitable for daily use is - (1) receipt scanning and integration with popular expense management software (reduces so much manual work and errors) (2) multiple paper size support so that small receipts to A4 printouts can be scanned in one go (3) feeding tray that makes scanning a breeze (unlike flatbed scanners where we needed to load documents one by one) and (4) duplex scanning - is a ultimate time saver for scanning two sided documents. Combined with paper tray, you can scan multiple page two sided documents in one go and do not have to go through merge operations like we had to with non-duplex capable scanners. On the "non functional" side, the scanner is zippy! It is quite fast at 600dpi. Another big convenience enhancer and time saver is its network capability where it sits on the network ready to scan. The fact that, instead of some kind of proprietary protocol it seems to follow network scanning standards. There are multiple advantages of this. First of all, I was able to setup using my iPhone instead of going through a full PC install and USB connector. Once wifi is setup on the device, I was able to scan documents from my PC, iPhone, Android device and even my Chromebook! For me, Chromebook compatibility was a pleasant surprise (photos attached). We have used scanners before that have a proprietary app and work on mobile devices, but this is the first scanner that simply was recognized and worked out of the box with a Chromebook that we use quite a bit.

I use scanner for online faxing: scan documents and send them through online fax service to fax machine. I also use chromebook. But I like the functions of this machine, and I have 1 pc to use it. I am surprised to find out that Canon has android and chrome apps that allows me to use my chromebook to connect to this machine. The wi-fi connection is my decision point vs. other model which gives me the flexibility to place this machine in a convenient location. In the PC software you can choose to save scanned documents to a local drive. In the chrom app, you can choose to connect with your mail app (gmail) and after the scan, the document becomes an attachment in a email. I then use the email to fax service to send fax. High speed; space saving design; simple and efficient interface.

Our second Brother printer, would not have anything else !

Brother printer needs to use brother ink. I bought another brand ink that did not work.
