Scan Utility For Canon

I'm using this cable with a Canon R5 and Lightroom. The cable works well and I definitely recommend it. Having said that, a few bits of advice. 1. I had trouble with LR losing the connection. While not scientifically proven, I believe the problem is that the Canon EOS Utility fights with LR for the connection (even if the EOS Utility is only on in the system tray). In any event, it worked fine when I uninstalled the EOS Utility from the laptop I use for shoots. 2. In retrospect I should have chosen the right angle attachment for the camera. I think the tether guard works better with the right angle attachment. 3. If shooting on a tripod, the set up only works if shooting in landscape orientation. 4. The right angle attachment doesn't work with a RRS L-bracket because the USB-C port on the camera is slightly off center. Accordingly, the right angle cable doesn't go through the proper opening in the L-bracket. While I bought the straight cable, I subsequently tried a right angle adapter which is when I realized the camera port was slightly off center. Hope these tips are helpful.

I needed constant power for my Canon EOS Rebel T7i so I can use it as a webcam (with the EOS Webcam Utility). This works! The combo with the Canon DC Coupler DR-E18 is a little expensive but it's worked flawlessly so far.

My Canon sx740 is the absolute best utility camera for my hunting, birding and fishing trips. As a digital creator I cannot do without that 40x zoom feature. Great investment for my business. Big Daddy Lawler, Gettin' Outdoors With BDL

As others have mentioned, you actually get 4 of these little things in a package. Can't beat the price for 4 of them. There are many uses for these cool little things, but I use them with the Utility Strap Swivel Hook By Op/Tech USA. The strap has hooks which hook to these adapt-its on my Canon DSLR. This method leaves the smallest footprint of a strap I know short of not having a strap at all. Now, here is a big tip when installing these Adapt-Its. This is only my personal experience with my Canon XSi and 7D bodies. On one side, it will be easy to push this adapt-it through the hole. You may have to flex it and bend it a little but you should be able to get it thru that side with relative ease. Now the other side where the eyelet for lack of a better term is recessed in a groove (?), I had a tough time getting it thru that hole. Finally I just tore a small piece of paper (or anything thin and small), placed it under the adapt-it and shoved as much of it into the hole as possible. With a small edge of the paper sticking thru, I grabbed it and pull on the paper while pushing on the adapt-it. That piece of paper basically helped give me some leverage and to guide it thru the hole/eyelet. I hope that made sense. A note about the strength of these little things. I have them on my Canon 7D with battery grip and a 70-200 f/2.8IS attached and the Utility Strap Swivel Hook By Op/Tech USA and I have no fears about my camera falling or breaking off my neck. I've also read others mention how they've tested these by hanging heavy things on these adapt-its overnight without problems. I tend to agree... so far I have no fear about these things breaking. They are tough little things. Try em. They're cheap.

I use a scanner for home use. I got this to replace an old canon "LIDE 50" that has served me well over the years but recently died . So I got a LIDE 300.. I could not be happier with it II scans fast . Color photos are scanned accurately.. Be sure to use the Scan utility "IJ Scan Utility" that is installed during set up. It's great and stupid simple to use. By default, the scanner's buttons are set up for black and white documents . For home use, the LIDE 300 is all you need. BTW, I'm using it on Windows 7

With Covid 19 forcing a lot of us to work from home, I needed a printer that can scan to email, and has decent printing capabilities. For me, I’ll be printing the kids worksheets as I’m using this for all of their remote school work and scanning their work. This printer meets all those needs. Setting up was a breeze. I’ve always used Canon products so I’m always partial because they never disappoint. For picture printing I use my Canon Pixma and not this printer. The scanning has been awesome with the ability to scan to multiple PDF by using the flatbed when you can’t use the Automatic Document Feeder right from the control panel. You can rotate from within the screen panel saving you the editing on the computer. Great printer, easy software and setup.

Recently purchased a new Canon scanner to scan The contents of approximately 25 notebooks in my wife's classroom. Once I receive the scanner we noticed it kept scanning multiple pages. We were able to figure out that The separation page device was faulty and needed to be replaced immediately. Unable to find the part I needed through Canon or Amazon or other outlets a friend told me about B&H. B&H had the right part at a much better price than most of the other businesses would've had if the item was in stock. We opted for quick shipping and the part actually arrived way before we expected. Once the new separator pad was installed there was no problems whatsoever and we were able to meet our time limit of completing this task before school started. I will be using B&H A lot in the future, because of this great experience
