Scanner For Photos To Digital

I bought this scanner to clean up a long overdue project of converting our family photos into a digital format. So far, I have converted approximately 1,500+ files...probably another 5,000 to go. The Epson V600 comes pretty much ready to go. You only need to install the driver and plug in the cables. Everything else is basically on autopilot. I have converted old photos files and 35mm slides. The entire process is time consuming, but technically very easy to accomplish. The results were better than expected. As my camera equipment improved in the mid 70's, consequently the photos were of a much higher quality and produced better digital files. It goes without saying...photos lying around in a box are not going to be seen by very many family members. It is my intent to convert all of my old photos into digital files that can be burn onto an SD card and displayed on digital photo albums. Great Christmas gifts. I did not shop around a great deal to compare this machine with others. I only went to Epson's web site to compare prices with B&H. I trust Epson products as high quality and B&H delivered on the best value. Thank you B&H. I would highly recommend this scanner for anyone interested in reviving the family treasure trove on old photos.

I just got this scanner and love it. I scanner a very old picture that was yellow and fading and it came out like new. the Digital Ice fixed cracks in some of the old photos. I also was able to make copies of negatives from the 1940s. It was easy to make a PDF as well. The Epson Perfection V600 does the best job I have seen.

This is by far the best photo scanner I have ever had. Operation is simple. Whether scanning negatives, slides, or photos taken with a digital camera, the resulting images are excellent. Without question, I would recommend this scanner to any serious photographer who uses the computer to store and/or edit photos.

At last I will be able to shoot digital photos with something besides by iPhone.

I do a ton of scanning on a daily basis for work and personal use and my printer/scanner is not by my desk so its a pain in the butt. I just received the Epson Workforce ES-60w Wireless portable scanner last week. I was able to get it up and running within a matter of minutes the longest thing was entering in my wifi code. I love that it is a Wireless Portable Scanner i can sit on my floor to scan all our receipts or photos from our trips without being tied to the computer. I have tried other small scanners and they either only scan in b&w or the image is horrible. i use this for photos, receipts, documents, insurance cards and business cards (photos scans come out so nice). I wasnt sure if this would be quick enough for me to use for work, but it is! you can can multiple sheets quickly, they show up on your screen to verify they are correct and you can save them in the format you want. The Epson DS-730N Network Color Document Scanner is a great and sleek looking scanner with built in networking with wifi. The DS-730N is a very fast scanner and scans up to 40 ppm/80 ipm. Set my documents and photos to be sent to my document folder for easy storage and accessibility. I use the DS-730N for scanning all my medical records onto a laptop at home. After downloading all the software for the DS-730N scanner, I read the help manual and setup the scanner to my laptop using the provided usb cable. I found the help manual useful, easy to follow steps that made setting up very simple to install. The Epson DS-730N scanner is a very nice scanner and worth the price when purchasing. I scanned several documents, photos, and receipts after setting the DS-730N up. I use my scanner for photos, slides and documents. It's easy to set up and easy to use.
