I like to use this microphone with my Iphone! :)

I have been trying to find a binaural microphone that would be on budget for me and it had been a struggle for a while but after looking at reviews I settled to get this one. It is amazing, works like magic, and my videos are better just by having this microphone. i purchased this monopod, not for use with a camera, but with a binaural microphone. the attachment screw can be flipped so that you have two possible sizes for mounting your camera or, in my case, handgun style handle for my microphone. the sections are sturdy and lightweight and the knuckles lock and unlock with a quick twist. they don't need to be fought with to tighten or loosen. i originally purchased this because the description said it had a retractable spike on the bottom. i was hoping to be able to set the spike into the ground, thinking it was long enough to hold the monopod erect, without touching it, so i could stand several feet away from my very sensitive microphone, but the spike is really only to provide traction in a softer surface. it only extends about 3/8 out from the end. that being said, it is easy to use and has come in handy on a few occasions. if i need to set the mic away from me a good distance, i will find some way to wedge the monopod upright securely, or simply use the oben tripod that i purchased with this. i could see myself using this for photography, were i to be using a small camera, but i don't think it would be ideal for my mamiya rb67. overall, a very good product for the price.

Got this to do binaural field recordings. Sound quality is excellent. Build quality is excellent.One small complaint, although B&H's listing doesn't say it, the manual it came with refers to the clips as rotating and the one's I got are not. Also the cords are so long that cord management is an issue, but that's for me to resolve. I like the fact that I can seperate them that far.I currently have them taped to the backs of a set of headphones so I can record and monitor at the same time.

I had to purchase ASAP as I was told Neumann will be raising their prices on all their products by Dec '16 or Jan '17. The microphones sound great, they're very quiet, and the binaural image sound amazing on headphones as well as loudspeakers, Neumann made sure of this for the KU 100 unlike the previous Fritz versions. The head is a bit on the heavy side but it is nicely built... very solid. I've been a fan of binaural recording for years, and my recent discover of Gordon Hempton reinforced the KU-100 as my main nature and city ambience stereo mic. He is the master of binaural nature recordings which have inspired me to travel and get to more remote, quieter areas. I know this is ridiculously expensive but as they say, you get what you pay for. This absolutely applies to the Neumann KU-100 So far I've had amazing recordings from the KU-100 with: Freight Trains City Ambience Beach/Ocean sounds Bird Song Car passbys Public ambience Recording live shows

This a very important cable in that it is necessary to input sound to a later generation iPhone (as the one included with the Wireless GO microphone system does not work for this purpose). I had to pay an extra $19 to get the right cable.

I purchased this to use when broadcasting my live DJ sets on FB. The sound quality is way better than when using my iPhone's microphone. No issues whatsoever. I'm glad I made the purchase.
