If you do any in-house/studio work with MixPre-3/6, this power supply is the way to go. I didnt even realize it existed until I was searching the Sound Devices website for a better field power option. (Side note: I use a 20,100 mAh Type-C RavPower for the field and it works great.) Before I discovered this charger I was using the dual USB Type-A Y cable that comes with the MixPre-3, and powering it with two Apple 12w iPad chargers, which I already had anyway. For $40, this is way cleaner. I read a couple of the comments about the flimsy cable, and mine seems pretty sturdy actually. Maybe they did an upgrade on this at some point into the product cycle. 5 |

On the second day after replacing my APC UPS battery, the supply to my house "glipped" - it was nice to hear the reassuring bleep and my PC stayed on - great. Hopefully paying twice the price of a "no-name" (made in Vietnam as China was to expensive !) battery ensures it will last for many years. 5 |

The power supply to my house has been notoriously unreliable lately, and I have lost some appliances to surges and frequent blips. I was worried that my computer was vulnerable, and although I save my work frequently I've suffered some losses due to power outages. The CyberPower CP1000 allowed me time to continue working, then save my work and perform a controlled shutdown during a recent outage. I can recommend it heartily. 5 |

After a backhoe cut the electrical supply line to my house, surge protectors worked as designed. They were fried, but the electronics were protected. I have no doubt that the Tripp Lite will continue to protect my equipment. 5 |
