School Laminating Machine Reviews

This is great for a school setting, or anywhere that has a laminating machine. I could see the posters getting messed up if you hang it up as is, but after being laminated its just fine.

Almost like laminating before printing! I just started to use it and wish it were available when I was in school!!

I am a musician who likes to record the old school way. That's why I purchased the DP-24SD 24-Track. This machine allows you to do that. It's simple and easy to use. Also I don't have to put up with a lot of computer uploads and constant upgrades. This recorder works great for what I need to do.

This is a smooth, sturdy paper, and I am pleased with the printing results. It's a bright white paper, which is perfect for my laminating projects.

Was nervous a bit because I was laminating by hand using an iron!!! This stuff is amazing. Rather pricey though. I am in Mxico and i was charged 1085 pesos for import and duty fees on top of what I paid for the product.

Like others, I was skeptical, but I read the reviews from church and school A/V leaders who said this picks up the spoken word just as well as any other microphone, and they were correct. I help with the A/V department at my church, and we ordered a couple of these, and they work just fine. I dont know how long it will last, but at the price, it can be easily replaced many times over vs. the cost of an expensive headworn mic.

Im quite surprised by the negative reviews. We have several of these in our school and none of them got ever broken. And I have to say our students are savages, they manage to break everything... :)

After reading other reviews, I decided to purchase this for our high school broadcasting team. Having no experience myself, I was concerned to spend this much of our small budget on this device. However, having used it now, it is significantly better than any cheaper alternative I sampled and is ridiculously easy to set up and use. Literally no learning curve at all. Our high school students had it set up and running with the monitor preview and a two camera with separate audio running perfectly on the first try in less than 5 minutes.

There isn't much I can say about this machine that hasn't already been noted in any one of a thousand reviews you can find online. It's fast, light, beautifully assembled, the works. Criticisms noted elsewhere are things I can see being issues depending on your situation, but they personally don't bother me. I'm sure I'm far from the typical case because I waited 13 years to replace my old machine, a 2008 iMac. Due to interface snappiness alone, I don't know if the gap between iOS and macOS has ever felt closer. Again I'm atypical, because I've been averaging about a week between charges. It will be interesting to see how much advancement each generation of the M processor packs in, because something tells me this machine will stay viable for a long, long time, and I'll probably be one to find out.

I needed to set up an external hard drive to use with Time Machine. Too many choices. Too many manufacturers. And then when i started to looking at reviews and pricing, well, that just muddied the decision making process. Finally, I decided that I would go with a WD product because I had great experience with their products and support. But WD still had a slew of external drives to choose from. After watching the reviews for the passport online (including CNET.), I decided on the Passport Ultra Metal. I called WD to get additional information about what the benefit of having an aluminum enclosure was (I was told that it helps dissipate heat faster than plastic) and decided to get the Ultra Metal.I decided to get the 10th anniversary one (supposedly gold but I actually can't seem a color cast on it -- it looks silver to me) to make it distinguishable from other people's external drives if I brought it with me and then inadvertently put it down on a desk and we couldn't disguise whose drive was whose (there were only a limited number of anniversary drives manufactured).I've had it about 10 days now and it seems like a great drive: it's small (about 1.5x the size of a deck of cards), quiet, and should have enough capacity (1T -- I partitioned the drive so I could use the other 1T as a general backup) for my Time Machine backup.I have no experience with the WD software that comes with the drive as a download from the WD site because I'm using a Mac.But so far I'm extremely pleased with the drive.
