Screen Size For Sony Laser Projector
J Ramsey | 2024-06-21 06:38:57 |
This projector produces amazing images right out of the box. Yes, it does require some effort to get it aligned properly to the screen, but it's an extremely high resolution, digital laser projector with an incredibly short throw, so that's to be expected. Other comments I've seen regarding focus issues at the edges of larger screens is not due to the projector, it simply requires that the screen be completely flat, also to be expected of a high performance laser like this one. The speakers are a bit weak, but I don't know anyone buying a high-end projector like this who isn't going to pair it with a comparable audio system ... all in all an absolutely amazing projector - buy it, you won't be sorry! 5 |

Incredible picture even in a bright room as you can see from the photos. At night though, it's hard to believe this image comes from a projector. The colors are absolutely incredible with the 3 laser system versus single laser and color wheels. Very quiet, relatively easy to set up even on a fixed screen, and, it's true, for a 120 screen, the projector is around 7.5 inches from the screen. I'm also using an Elite Aeon CineGray 3D screen which is not really suggested for an UST projector. I'm considering the Elite Aeon Starbright CLR, but, not sure how the picture can get any better. Finally, I do use a Sonos Playbar instead of the internal speaker. For something this high-end, I'm not sure why they even included speakers at all since 90% of people who purchase the LG UST HU85LA will have a high-end speaker system or audio system to connect to anyway. I'm sure it's due to the competition who came out beforehand. Buy it! Enjoy it! 5 |

i wore out my SONY UST laser projector light source (running it 19,000 hours in 6 years) and replaced the projector with the SONY 98" TV. the loss of screen size (from 118" to 98") was more than compensated for by the amazing brillance of the picture. 5 |

I did my homework before settling on this projector. I was looking at 3 price points. Low ($1200), Mid ($3000), High ($6000). For the High I wanted the Sony entry laser projectors (but I think this one is even better than the entry laser projector from what I read in professional reviews). This project was at the high end of the Mids but after reading many reviews from AV professionals, when they say that this is their favorite projector and another said that the picture is almost as good as the Sony $40K laser projectors I had to try it out. And it does not disappoint. Everything that you think and expect in a great image, it has. I run at a medium bulb power and it looks awesome (in a dark room). Just read the pro reviews and you will settle on this one for the price point. I was not a fan of pixel shifting or DLP but this projector won me over. 5 |

I bought this to replace my Sony VPL-PWZ10, that wore out its laser. This was a comparable projector, with a few upgrades. Most notable was the contrast is much improved as is the picture clarity. B&H offers the best purchase experience. I order it on a Friday afternoon in Colorado, and they shipped it on Monday, and I got it on Tuesday. It was a pleasure to deal with a reputable company after ordering it from another company and waiting 2 weeks. 5 |

The EF12 Smart Streaming Laser Projector is better than I expected. The clarity, color, video speed, sound quality and easy to setup. The projector is exactly what I have been looking to buy for years. I also purchased the carrying case and it is worth the money. I expected a cheap bag, this is very high quality. I have recommended this projector to my family and friends. I can wait for summer for outdoor movie night in the backyard. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We watch all things video, but mostly movies. We have Satellite and Off-Air as well as internet streaming. Our first HD TV was a Samsung 56" DLP light bulb rear projection set. It was the best for HD back in 2003. After 10 years though it failed and we purchased a 70" 4K flat screen. At the time there was no large size DLP 4K sets to choose from at a price we could afford. When that set failed last December we had to find something new. Our son still had his 56" Samsung DLP LED rear projection set (he was between homes and was not using it) and we put it in our living room. Wow is all I can say. I had forgotten how great the DLP was or had gotten used to the Flat screen. Seeing this 12 year old DLP still looking great and only HD was amazing. I had seen on the internet that Samsung had come up with a new short throw projector. So I quickly researched it to see what it was about. It was just what i was looking for. We had been wanting to get a large picture size for some time but couldn't justify the cost as our flat screen was working. When it failed it was all on to find the best and largest picture. The 130" screen size was perfect for our living room. Some have said what's wrong with a 36" screen, no comment is all I can say. When purchased the new Samsung projector we purchased a 120" screen designed for Short throw projectors was ordered. It arrived the day before the projector. All of our view is unbelievable, like going to the theater only you don't drive 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Epson EpiqVision EF11 is most magnificent Laser projector I have ever tried. I used many Epson projectors, they all have their cons and pros. But this? Epson Epiq is awesome. Not only the superb quality that Epson always delivers but also the size have impressed me. Never have I seen such a terrific quality projector in such a small size. Output is great, the further away and bigger the projection screen the better is the quality. Fan is very quiet, the output speakers on Epson is plenty loud. It does come with HDMI and usb ports for pc and usbs but I much prefer and liked the function that it has MirrorCast which I am able to project my whole phone on the screen, no lag, no bugging out whatsoever. The sheer size of this projector is great for travels, especially for camps, just grab a small generator for the power. Pitched the idea of implementing this kind of projectors to my school work place and they are looking into it. Highly recommend it just because of quality and size alone. 5 |

Good quality and nice size screen for my new projector. Came packaged very well and is set up to be mounted or hung in many configurations. Excellent product 5 |
