I love LaCie hard drives and SSD's.� This 5TB hard drive is as solid as a rock.� I have gotten rid of all of my other drives and ONLY use the LaCie Rugged drives now.� I use Adobe Premiere Pro on my Mac Pro (late 2013) computer and my LaCie rugged drives are a perfect fit. LaCie uses Seagate drives which has been a very dependable drive for me for many years.� Seagate has been around since 1979. 5 |

I have found the Seagate 5TB drive a great external drive for backing up video editing projects, and for taking with me on video shoots. I can copy files from my cameras onto the drive, keep filming the next day, and then plug it into my computer when I am back in the office and I have all my files. 5 |

I bought this to replace a Seagate 5TB drive that died, and thus far I'm very happy with the ease of use and performance of the WD 5TB My Passport external drive. I'm using it for Time Machine backups and it's doing the job perfectly. It would be equally good for other more mobile uses. The fact that it is powered through the USB connection is a plus and I don't have to deal with another external power supply. 5 |

Needed a 5TB backup drive for my data. Chose the Firecuda because of the attractive price. Drive works well, typical writ speed is 70 to 85 MB/s. So far so good. 5 |

I purchased the Ruggard case to hold at least one of two Seagate 2TB Backup Plus Slim USB 3.0 External Hard Drives I had purchased at the same time. I was happy to find the case could hold both drives. The case is sturdy and seems like it will protect the drive(s). It has a hard exterior. It has a small interior pocket that fits the cords for the drives as long as they are tightly wound. An elastic strap helps secure the drives in place. Overall, very satisfied with the purchase. 5 |
