Seagate Business Storage 4Tb External Hard Disk

I just added the WD 4TB Elements External Desktop Hard Disk Drive to my� back up solution (6 hard drives) and Windows 10.� I disconnected the power and USB cable from a full WD hard drive and replaced it with this new drive and fired it up. It works great, just like I would expect from Western Digital.

It is made with a durable metal enclosure, so it's protected from bumps and drops. It is so easy to transfer files to and from my desktop. I like how small and portable this product is. I can take it with me wherever I go.

This is the best external hard disk by far on the market today. Don't bother with Seagate, this is the one to get and BH PhotoVideo is the place to get it!

My WD External 4TB Hard drive is operating great. Its storage and retrieval speeds are very fast and as advertised. I would buy this unit again.

I'm using this Seagate 8TB drive in a dual external bay, next to my Seagate 4TB to backup the backup of my photos and music. It's quiet even when writing, and it backs up my photos at approximately 145MB per second. I also use it as a scratch disc when using Photoshop. It goes to sleep after about 20 minutes of non-use, as it should, and takes about 10-15 seconds to wake up.

The hard drive in my Dell 620 (Seagate ST31000524AS) was failing ... causing slow operation and repeatedly throwing reports of disk errors, bad sectors, etc. despite my attempts at repair using a variety of programs. After finally getting a successful disk image from the original drive using Macrium Reflect, I swapped the drives and loaded the disk image onto this replacement. On restart my PC booted right up from this drive and it's been running like new since.

I use this with a bunch of 4TB Seagate/WD drives for safer storage. Those drives fit pretty tightly snugged but can fit all the slots.

The Ruggard case was recommended (online) by B&H for a portable Seagate disk drive that I bought. It was well-sized for the drive, provides storage for the USB-3 cable, and protects the drive well from external shocks, etc. It is inexpensive protection for additional disk storage.

I am a biased user when it comes to hard disks and use only Seagate manufactured units. Both the 4TB and the 7200 rpm 2TB, 3.5 versions have performed well. These two units was my first 3.5 purchase since the appearance of laptops, other purchased units were 2.5, replaceable for internal drive if needed. The price of the 3.5 4TB unit, for an external drive, was why I did not buy a more expensive 2.5 drive. Mind you I do miss the performance of the old 2.5 models with 4 GB of solid state cache; not seen in the catalog recently.

At first I was skeptical with the dimensions that my Seagate 2TB External Hard Drive would fit into this case. I called the store and the gentleman assured me it would. So, I got it. This case provides the protection I need to carry my External Hard Drive from one location to another and with the hard-shell design, I can have confidence that my external hard drive will function when I plug it in to my laptop.
