Seagate Enterprise Hard Drive

I use this hard drive as a backup to another identical Seagate. 5 |

I purchased this drive to replace a failing drive in my Synology Network Attached Storage device. I have used Seagate enterprise drives in all my NASs for some time, and had good experiences. This drive tested very well, and has a 5 year warranty. While there may be some other good choices today, my experience with Seagate enterprise drives has been very good. 5 |

For the reason of how a Seagate Enterprise HD is designed, it will not install in the enclosure, but every other drive I've tried works great. Nice aluminum enclosure, easy drive install and looks good too. 5 |

A nice little case for protecting all my files on a seagate hard drive, I have two now. 5 |

At first I was skeptical with the dimensions that my Seagate 2TB External Hard Drive would fit into this case. I called the store and the gentleman assured me it would. So, I got it. This case provides the protection I need to carry my External Hard Drive from one location to another and with the hard-shell design, I can have confidence that my external hard drive will function when I plug it in to my laptop. 5 |

After seeing that Seagate discontinued my favorite hard drive it was a treat to see this new version. 5 |

The hard drive in my Dell 620 (Seagate ST31000524AS) was failing ... causing slow operation and repeatedly throwing reports of disk errors, bad sectors, etc. despite my attempts at repair using a variety of programs. After finally getting a successful disk image from the original drive using Macrium Reflect, I swapped the drives and loaded the disk image onto this replacement. On restart my PC booted right up from this drive and it's been running like new since. 5 |

I've been using Hitachi drives, especially Ultrastar, since Seagate's Enterprise drives started failed miserably in large batches a few years ago, and never looked back. Very few failures. This one worked flawlessly to upgrade a Drobo storage device. 5 |
