I travel, Buick is my search engine. I use Nikkor glass, 28-300 & 200-500 zooms. I love to see what is around the next bend. So I guess I'm a snapshot shooter, shoot mostly hand held, & I like high resolution images. I shoot inside museums, outside wildlife, dusk cityscapes, bird in flight, whatever. Low light focusing & noise free higher ISO are great things, as is the big bright viewfinder for tracking BIF. (Attached snow geese in DX crop). I shoot manual exposure, auto focus. The ability to program multiple buttons for different auto focus on & modes is a great thing. The detail in the images out of the D850 is amazing! I'm looking forward to many years of shooting with this camera. 5 |

This is one of the better glass and lens that I have had.. and the interaction with the Sony a7rii are tuned together as a fine tuned engine. Very happy with it 5 |

We attached a GoPro camera to this thing and suctioned it to the body of a single engine Cessna. The trip was short, and it held up all the way until the landing on Lake Toba, at which point the impact popped it off and dumped our rig in the water. But in all fairness, the pilot was partially to blame - NOT a normal landing, and our choice of mounting location was poor. I was shocked it even made it on the journey. I'm not sure how fast we were traveling, but it sure made for some incredible footage! Super easy to use and flexible enough to attach to odd-angle surfaces. The mount was unharmed and luckily we had it tethered. We have two more flights scheduled ... hehe. Looking forward to more tests! For the price, you won't find a better or stronger mount. VERY happy ... so far. ;) 5 |
