Secure Digital Wifi Card

In my opinion, this secure digital (SD) case works. I have purchased in the past other Ruggard memory card cases for SD and compact flash (CF) cards. Based on prior performance of these memory card cases, I purchased the four compartment version. Happy that I did.

I love everything about this camera. Almost. Two requests: when set for 4k or 120fps video, can you force the camera to the CFast card? Pulling a card out will reset the camera to the CF slot. Then the 4k is only 1080 on the CF, or it craps out and while the camera is on my Ronin, I am unaware. :-( Provide some warning message OR a menu option to control this. Also, WiFi will be finicky when reconnecting to my iPad (which is dedicated only to the Canon wifi) when the camera gets powered off momentarily for battery change or lens or card... time consuming and annoying on set. The app and wifi should just reconnect, like every other WiFi. Otherwise, a perfect beast. Image quality, both still and video, is astounding.

I am only using the Wifi, and will not be using the bluetooth.  It was easy to install, and is a huge speed improvement over the old Wifi card.

Wifi card is great. The antennas can be mounted directly to the card or put on the magnetic stand.

Fast networking, easy installation. Highly recommended. The built-in outlet simplifies finding a place. You have to use Windows if you want to create your own password, but it's way easier to use the self-generating password. Only drawback is that you have to push the password reset button on all units within a couple of minutes. I'm not sure how secure it is, but it has to be more secure than wifi.It occasionally glitches for no apparent reason, but that's still way better than our wifi.speedtest.net says that I'm getting 12Mps down/5Mbps up, with around a 15ms ping time.

This is much better than the systems I had previously (Google WiFi, Linksys Velop, Netgear Orbi). I have an old 1940’s home filled will plaster walls and the Netgear Orbi AC3000 version 1 was the best at sending 2.4 and 5GHz through the walls. While the other systems lacked the horsepower to get through the plaster walls. The Netgear just worked but I did not have much to tinkering plus the security on it was terrible. If you wanted internet security you would have to pay a monthly subscription fee for Armour. The UDM is great I can create multiple virtual WLAN (home automations, TV, laptop/mobile devices, etc). Each vLAN is separate so they don’t fight for WiFi space. The one UDM covers my 1200sq ft plaster walled home with secure WiFi and if I need more I could add an access point. The fact that the 4 port switch is managed is a plus. Being able to turn on/off those 4 ports makes it even more secure. Just hope that Ubiquiti continues to support this little diamond of a product with FW updates. I can see the UDM being able to do so much more. A lot is the software is in Beta and some in Alpha stage. Hopefully one day (SOON) it will be in full production mode.

This is too neat and I still just barely scratched the surface:) Next up building my own vpn so I am secure no matter where in the wifi world I go.
