Not only is it an excellent web camera, but it also works great with windows hello for facial recognition. It has the additional IR technology needed for accurate and speedy facial recognition. The built in microphone has great quality as well. No issues so far. Thoroughly satisfied

The video quality is great. I have to look into adding features like facial recognition to automatically send the unlock command to my door (seperate Control4 product)

Camera has face recognition!

I am using the microphone at work with Dragon voice recognition software. the mic is clipped to the monitor. With the directional microphone, it ignores the ambient noise and just picks up the person directly in front of the mic.

After reading multiple reviews on the net, I chose this model for efficiency, cost, and reliability. So far it is working wonderfully as my husband uses it while teaching voice recognition software to respond to his speech patterns. He is a semi-retired attorney teaching paralegal studies at a local college who prefers the old fashioned classroom teaching techniques with essay homework assignments. With over 100 students a semester writing assignments every 3 days, making individual comments on each essay takes considerable time. Hopefully, the voice recognition software will speed up comments and grading with the spoken word. So far, no problems except for a tired voice. Enunciation and clarity are necessary.

I use a handwriting recognition software to write on my iPad. I just find that writing comes easier writing longhand than typing. The software i use is great, but it would be nothing without Paperlike. It truly is an ingenious screen protector. I feel like I’m writing in a notebook. I love the digital age! BTW, Customer service for Paperlike is also stellar. They jumped to my aid when I had a Question and followed up just as quickly. I wish more companies were as conscientious.

I purchased this camera for my residence and use it on a Mac mini with Security Spy software (excellent for Mac). The camera works great and Ive had it for a year no with NO issues. Auto tracking works great, able to read license on cars driving past my house. I highly recommend this. B & H made the purchase cost friendly and quickly processed.
