Positives: This works well to carry my Nikon D810 + 600mm f/4 FL + optionally a 1.4x teleconverter attached. It is very comfortable to carry the setup. Negatives: The lens collar divider foam is practically useless as it assumes a very small lens barrel at the attachment point to the camera. The bigger problem I have is that while taking out the camera/lens from the bag it is too tight around the hood - and the 600m hood gets detached from the lens and gets stuck a bit in the cloth lens cap. The way to avoid this would be to screw in the hood screw a little too tight - but that will leave ugly marks on the new lens. Or accept that everytime you get out the camera/lens you will need to fiddle a bit with the hood and the lens cap. Overall a good bag. Also check out the Mindshift Gear Firstlight 40L bag - that also fits the D810 + 600mm FL attached (without the teleconverter - and may not fit the previous generation 600mm VR but non FL lens. 5 |

Having owned FL-36 for over two years I was a bit disappointed with it because it ran on only two batteries and had a habbit of draining them too quickly. As I mostly photograph children who can't stand still for too long while the FL-36 recharges, I decided to buy the FL-50R. FL-50R arrived yesterday and the first impression was that it is significantly bigger and heavier than the FL-36, but it also feels much sturdier and it looks like a real professional piece of equipment. It is much more powerful, recharges from empty in just 4-5 seconds with new NIMH batteries and the extra gadgets that come with it are very userful. I used it with my E-510 both on and off camera. When off camera it can be set to slave mode, and then it fires when it detects light from another flash. The foot that comes with it has a standard tripod mount so you can easily set up a small multi-flash studio for taking portraits in your room. I am very satisfied with the FL-50R and I only regret for not getting it sooner. 5 |

I purchased the FL-36R to use with my Panasonic LX3 camera. This Olympus flash allows full TTL control with the LX3 and my results have been outstanding. I wasn't sure the FL-36R was going to provide the bounce power I needed and had also considered the Olympus FL-50R. I finally decided on the FL-36R because the LX3 is a VERY small camera and the FL-50R is considerably larger than the FL36R. I have taken photos in very large rooms, with high ceilings and the FL36 has always had plenty of power. For anyone buying the FL-36R (or the FL50R for that matter), I would HIGHLY recommend also purchasing the Olympus FLRA-1 Reflector Adapter unit. The FLRA-1 diverts a small part of the bounce light directly toward the subject, to even out shadows and provide a catch-light in the subject's eyes. The combination works VERY well! 5 |

The FL-50R wireless flash works great off and on the hot shoe. I recently used it at a weeding inside at night and it was perfect! It is a very powerful flash and is designed for the Olympus E series of DSLRs. I would strongly recommend this flash for anyone that owns an Olympus E DSLR camera. It has more power than the FL-36 and the R means that it is a wireless flash that can also be used off camera. 5 |

Very handy for being able to use Canon FD/FL lenses with a M4/3 camera. The only issue I ran into was needing to take a few extra seconds to line up the aperture pin on the lens with the lock ring on the adapter, but that is very manageable. I find it useful enough that I'll probably get a second to have two lens prepped at a time. 5 |
