The tonality rendering is even better. I can shoot Jpg all day. 5 |

With 21 megapixels, it's more than you would ever need. JPg pictures not as sharp. Super clean pictureseven with noise reduction off. ISO 3200 is very usable, higher ISO requires some processing. Use this camera at higher ISO with fast lens and you can take shots where your creativity takes you. Wished it has a built in flash. Video requires manual focusing and much sharper with image stabilization off. You can't go wrong with a such a full frame camera at $ UDMA flash card is a must for 1080p! 5 |

I wanted to simplify my kit from my OMD/PEN-F M43 gear- I found myself spending most of my time with a 35mm equivalent lens already, so it felt like a good move. IQ is fantastic, both from the sensor and the lens, which is very sharp even wide open and close up. All the manual controls are fantastic and quick to operate. I love the film simulations - I still shoot RAW+JPG for those cases when I might need to save a shot in post, but most of the time now I find myself just keeping the JPG right out of the camera. The only thing I really miss from my M43s is IBIS. High ISO performance is great, with 6400 ISO producing an image with pleasant rather than distracting grain, but in very very low light I really wish I had IBIS again. I knew that going into it however, and the rest of the camera's qualities make up for that one miss. Battery life is OK, but not great. definitely get a spare, but with the onboard USB-C charging, I can recharge the battery in the bag with a regular USB power bank for those all-day walkabouts. 5 |

When you want a camera that does everything, compromises are expected. To my surprise, I found very few in the RX10 IV. The lens on this camera is big, but it also delivers good levels of sharpness through the whole range. Autofocus is good, face detection works quite well. Sensitivity wise, I personally prefer not to go over ISO 800, as I only shoot raw. With my use of the camera, I cannot speak to the .jpg's. If you shoot .jpg and tend not to edit much, I expect you can push the ISO quite a bit more. 4K video looks real good, but the slow-motion footage is what intrigues me the most. The full HD 250fps looks really good! Rolling shutter is very well controlled. Autofocus in video is quite good, especially when you have a face in the frame. I would like to address some criticism aimed at this cameras image stabilisation. This is not the cameras best point, it's decent, but you cannot honestly expect stable hand held shots at 600mm with ANY camera/lens combo. As a professional photographer, overall, I am happy with the purchase. For me, sometimes it's nice to leave all the pro stuff at home, go on a vacation, hike or a gathering with friends, and still have a camera that covers essentially everything. 5 |

I wanted a camera that I could have with me at all times as my full frame cameras are too big for everyday wondering around. This camera is perfect for everyday use as not only is it small and weather proof with the UV filter but the quality of the photos is extraordinary. I shoot raw but I'm finding that the film simulations are so well done I'm using the jpg right out of camera. I still feel the need to shoot raw and jpg but at some point I may shoot jpg only. This is my first Fujifilm and I couldn't be happier with the quality of the sensor as I can crop the jpg pretty small and the photo doesn't come apart. I'm also using the flash as fill light and was blown away at the effectiveness and ease of use. I customized two buttons, one for flash and one for the ND filter. The eye tracking is really good for stills and I've found the auto focus tracking in video to be really good as long as you have decent light. 5 |

This camera has insane resolution (with good lenses). Just an example - if you crop 6MP out of the frame you still get very good picture and effectively extends a range of your telephoto by factor of 3. But it is not all that you get with this camera. Because both slots are UHS-II you can setup one for JPG and other for RAW and it allows you shoot medium or small on JPG but still get what I call negative or full resolution RAW. This way you can spray and pray all you want, quickly review your jpegs and process RAW of selected shots. AF is fast and accurate, tracking is great and 10 FPS shutter is more than enough. Love this camera. 5 |
